Well, Mummy will leave eventually. I personally don’t foresee it leaving until the Olympics is over at the earliest as I imagine they will want as much capacity as possible. I could easily be wrong but that’s my hunch.

When that time comes, the park will be in great need of an intermediate thrill family coaster. An “in-between” coaster for F&F and Hippogriff. DK could fit that though I would argue just by looking at it it’s a hair above Hippogriff in terms of thrill. That might change once I finally go on it.

As someone who has ridden both MCM and Hippogriff it's definitely a lot more thrilling lol. I would put it slightly below Space Mountain at DL in terms of thrill level imo. Also as for Mummy... I hope it stays. It's a classic and I don't see any reason for it to go. Simpsons, Hippogriff, Transformers should go before Mummy does

I'd rather see USH get a different Nintendo property. Let Epic Universe and Japan have DKC. USH needs more exclusivity anyway.

But if the rumors are true this is already coming to Japan/Florida lol. So it wouldn't be an exclusive unless they did something different than what they're doing in Florida and Japan

Kirby feels too small to me. I don't know why--but it feels like it wouldn't make a big splash. I also kind of excluded Zelda due to that "Classical" fantasy being already in place already with Hogsmeade.

FFN having Splatoon inclusion would be insanely smart though.

Well, I just had in mind that Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, and Kirby seem to be the big four of Nintendo IPs that consistently get new games.

Honestly, I think Animal Crossing could be a very good fit for the park. The IP has seen a lot of growth in the last couple of years, and it has a lot of overlap with the fanbase of Hello Kitty/Sanrio, which has had very successful and popular offerings over there.

I can’t find the interview, but Miyamoto said when thinking of IPs to implement, the first idea was Splatoon on Universal’s end. I think that will be the IP that comes if USH were to ever get something exclusive.

Shoot, that one slipped my mind. I'd almost argue that Kirby might also have a similar overlap. For instance, I tend to see Kirby stuff sold alongside Sanrio stuff in some shops.

Considering how much money would be left on the table if Pokemon were not brought to USH, perhaps some sort of exclusive USH standalone ride could be under consideration.

I think a Super Mario Galaxy themed ride/land could be cool for USH. I would still prefer DKC but I wouldn't be mad if we got something else like that

There's a lot to work with. A "catch-all" land that includes Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and Kirby would, I think, be as successful as something like the standalone DKC, Pokémon, or Zelda.

But, if I had to choose one that would translate the best to a full, standalone land, I'd go with Animal Crossing.

While I am a long-time fan of the Kirby franchise, I'm not sure how well it would translate to a permanent theme park experience. It doesn't have that many recognizable landmarks compared to Nintendo's other major franchises, and I can't think of any ride system that is well-suited to an attraction based on the games.

As for Splatoon, I don't think it's currently popular enough in the United States to warrant having an attraction here. While the popularity of the series has continued to exponentially grow in Japan, I feel it's popularity in America peaked with the launch of the Switch/Splatoon 2, and it has gradually become somewhat more niche in the years since. I think it could work very well as a land with USJ though.

homogeneity, in my opinion, makes theme parks less interesting. but yes, i'm certainly not losing sleep over it.

SS28 was "The Phantom Stage", specifically built in 1924 for the original 1925 Phantom of the Opera. Mario Kart now sits upon that sacred land.

SS12 would be the "Monsters Stage" since it was used for Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride & Creature
