Epidemiologists are not good at projections. It’s been shown many times. They’re certainly needed and should be listened to, but I’d take their projections with a grain of salt.
As I mentioned earlier, the person who has had by far the most accurate timeline projections is Michael Levitt; who is a statistician, not a scientist/epidemiologist.
Note: I’m not saying Gates should be listened to: I haven’t read what he said. Just saying that medical professionals are not exclusively the only people we should hear from or get input. Take everything with a grain of salt, of course. For me; proof of product is most important, which is why I’ve really been listening to what Levitt has said.
Yes, we should listen to the experts, but every expert adds to a different facet of the overall picture.
