It’s gonna be a massive 150,000 sq ft building.

I imagine this ride is probably gonna be just as ambitious as Ministry.

I'm actually not sure how ambitious this project will end up being. As of now with the permit officially listed as paid and issued as of today, the permit still has it marked as a single story building. I know the permits can still change, but that keeps standing out to me. I'm wondering if they trying to get capacity up quickly, so they are going for a more reliable ride system and attraction style. With how family oriented the HP franchise is, and with all the Potter rides sans Hippogriff being family thrill rides, I could see a more classic old school omnimover darkride using the once rumored Thestral angle instead of the rumored Quidditch attraction. It's the one type of attraction I think Epic needs more than anything else at the moment. Another indoor attraction to get you inside when the weather turns while truly being accessible to just about everyone.

I'd guess its on a fast track building schedule since the Epic capacity issues have contributed to a lot of negative reactions. Keep it simple, to hell with overly complex.

There have been multiple rumors as to what the addition could be. That was just one of many.

That’s exactly the kind of ride the park needs.

Except I don’t think it’s gonna be a simple attraction but have all the bells and whistles that we come to love from Creative.

I noticed a lot of people are keeping the ride system extremely under wraps.

Very quiet on that front.

Whatever it is I'm sure it'll be a less complex ride system just for reliability reasons

Oh I agree 100% about having all the creative bells and whistles. I guess what I should say is think/hope it's going to be a more simple ride system, not necessarily an unambitious ride all together. The last thing they need is to be fighting with the issues that come with a new ride system when they need the capacity (looking at you BATM and Mine Kart).

It’s a new ride from Universal, so it’s probably a coaster

A Quidditch themed coaster using Vekoma’s new Thrill Glider model would absolutely kick ass

I did also wanna see like a Donkey Kong log flume ride over in Donkey Kong Country at some point, but if it needs the space for LoZ, I’d scrap it in a heartbeat

This fits so well! Epic feels like it needs another water ride and a “thrilling” one with a drop!

It's sure starting to seem like that. Maybe their ride engineers took a Coaster 201 class after they finished their Simulator 102 classes. Coasters only Six Flags would be proud of them. ;) :D

Yea if this was over a decade ago I’d joke it’s just more screenz. But we are well into the current coasterz era.

Yeah, they get a little crazy when they latch onto their trends.......Kind of lazy creatives//execs......The coaster path has not been kind to Six Flags/Cedar Fair. They've boxed themselves into a corner that has no good exit. .....Too much of something can easily become too much of nothing. Heh, sounds like a song. ....Well, there's always the reborn Disney..... :D :lmao:

I'd like a Pirates of the Caribbean style boat ride through the history of the Wizarding World, glimpsing wizards and witches all over the globe (a bit like small world in that way). I want to see important events in Asia, the Americas, Africa, etc. in the form of big cocktail-party style scenes with tons of limited animatronics (and a few top-tier animatronics up front). Lots of vibe, effects, music, and a few drops.

I believe they learned their lesson with coasters specifically for this park.

Plus the building is supposedly only one story so I highly doubt it’s one.

Big empty box easy and fast to build.

But also, the same permits that say only 1 story now also deleted 150,000 sq ft previously, so not sure early info on there can be trusted.

EDIT: As in, permit a big 1 story empty box structure, then add interior structure later under separate interior build out permit (once they’re done actually designing it).

people like roller coasters. if they build something with broad appeal (like big thunder, space mountain, hagrids) and if they build it indoors… that seems like a win for this park. now, you’d also hope it’s a reliable model since two of the coasters i mentioned above are… not that.
