Huge missed opportunity if they don’t sell these as coasters:

Or even a set with each bar logo on it! They could do the bars of Celestial Park alone.

Hard agree - we had a few drinks sat at the bar the other day and the barman serving us said to help ourselves from the small pile at the bar, but we’d love some ceramic coasters with the same design to actually use.

Are there any beers made specifically for any of the restaurants or lands here?

Celestial Park - Speechless Astronomer
Dark Universe - Reaper's Reserve
Isle of Berk - Stoick's Ale
Ministry of Magic - Au Currant Saison

I didn't have Stoick's Ale on my recent trip, but the other three were all VERY good imo. Reaper's Reserve is probably my favorite of the bunch.

Since we're on the subject of booze, I typically don't drink, but I think Gobber's Mead at Isle of Berk might be the drink that makes me break my vow of sobriety. Would that be a good drink to start on?

It's good for sure - not many comparable drinks to it at the resort in general.

Adds to Epic Universe check list. Is there even a reason to go to Super Nintendo World?

It's ok. Kind of like a defrosted Wendy's frosty with cinnamon.

Started my day yesterday with a Breakfast Old Fashioned at Plastered Owl. "A lot of bacon, a little bacon?" "As much bacon as you're willing to give me," I said. Well, this was as much bacon as he was willing to give me:

PXL_20250526_141823018~2.jpg
Good bacon too, if you eat it before it gets soggy. The drink was a little sweet for my taste (very heavy on the maple syrup) but the bacon balanced out the first few sips.

Other stuff from yesterday
  • Turkey Wings at Mead Hall - I felt obligated to get these because I kept talking up the Goblin's Feast turkey wing on my HHN surveys last year. Eating them made me feel like a viking just as much as the HHN one made me feel like a goblin, very experiential. Berry BBQ sauce is tasty. Would become a go-to option for me if they made it possible to just get 1 wing and the sides for like $13 instead of two for $20.

  • Natural Satellite cucumber gin drink at Bar Zenith - refreshing, but nothing special for the price. Would not re-order.
  • Das Burger at Das Stakehaus - Feels like overgrown HHN food, competently executed and with a fun gimmick but the quality didn't blow me away - it's just "good for a theme park burger", not "good in absolute terms" the way Pizza Moon is. Fries were surprisingly good, reminded me of Red Robin. The Rauchbier I had with it was interesting, very bold smoke flavor that suits the land well.
  • Darkthorne mead at Burning Blade - I liked this even better than Gobber's mead, which I was already quite a fan of last visit; it's the same base but the peppercorn notes add some complexity and tartness. Sweet and rich but not cloying, eminently drinkable. The thunder and lightning added some atmosphere to sipping it on the patio.
