Update- I may have just gotten very bad luck, as I've now been informed by three separate friends that Finale Drac was actually finally back in full proper A-mode on the 7th, so maybe something was just up yesterday?

Well, if it wasn't working on the 6th, then they got it working on the 7th, and you went on the 8th and it was no longer working, I don't think that really qualifies as "bad luck" at that point, maybe ... just par for the course. :skull:

I guess it is since I just got confirmation he was back up in full A-mode today. Some days he's shy, other days traumatizing new generations!

Looks like Fyre Drill was, too. Though doesn't appear the observed wait times (per Touring Plans) were all that bad, especially given the holiday.

Fyre Drill has been down since the freeze. Not sure if the two are linked, but it's been down for awhile now. I believe I heard from somewhere that they are getting new boats?

Fyre Drill was still completely behind work walls on Sunday. It had a planned refurb/maintenance closure from Feb 1 - Feb 13, but according to TMs out front of the attraction, it’s been extended to Feb 18th - not sure why the website wasn’t updated accordingly.

If they can actually get the water cannons to work as intended, they're welcome to take as much time as they need haha.

I swear, we somehow dodged nearly every pitfall of this park. We only rode Fyre Drill once, but we had absolutely no issues with water pressure and had a blast.

Working on some data analysis for a blog post and got uptimes pulled for the domestic Disney and Universal parks based on the pulled and user-submitted TP data for FTD 2026. Here's the list:
  1. Epic - 10%
  2. DCA - 9%
  3. DL - 7%
  4. IOA - 7%
  5. USF - 6%
  6. MK - 5%
  7. Epcot - 5%
  8. DAK - 4%
  9. DHS - 4%
For 10% it's a total of the day, so if the park is open 10 hours a day that means a full 1 hour of park capacity was lost on average. Epic is nothing surprising, but DCA is very surprising. Where's all the DCA issues talk? ;)

I think running a pareto on downtime issues and stamping the issues out one by one is a good choice here.

For what it's worth, there has been a fair amount of justified kvetching in the Disneyland thread (though less lately) about how rough uptime is at the resort. Big time brain drain during COVID and they've never recovered.

I know the comparison was partly in jest, but DCA is also aided by having Disneyland -- and its huge assortment of attractions -- a football field away. Even when stuff goes down there, it's still got the most impressive roster in the country.

But I certainly heard some (mild) complaining from other guests during my day at DCA in 2023 (though the downtimes mostly didn't affect my day because of when they happened to occur).

and....probably at all the parks...quite often the short term delays never make it to the app. So, the numbers are probably even higher....Example: My second day at Epic, during that 5 hour period when most every ride and show were down, they didn't show up on the app., which caused us to walk around a lot trying to find something that worked. The lines were closed.....I experience that often at both WDW and Universal when stuff goes down, but the apps never pick up on it....The app downtime percentages are probably understated.

See, they were tracking your purchase amounts and, since purchases were too low, they said, "No more rides until people buy stuff." It took five hours before the threshold was finally breached.

:lmao: In reality, all the food places were packed since there wasn't much else to do. Probably targeted downtime to herd us into the restaurants. ;):lmao:
