They were working on it two nights ago, but it's probably a long process.

Ok, over or under. When do we see trains cycling.

I'm going 7.5ish weeks. So around September 15th-ish.

Not expecting it until after HHN. November at the earliest.

Just did Hollywood Drift West today and yeah, I think this is the perfect fit for USF. I'm really disappointed that it doesn't have a dive loop or corkscrew though, those are the best elements on the other version.

I think the last element installed last night exceeds the dive loop. And we already have the heartline roll on Velocicoaster. They traded it out for the twisted spike looming above CityWalk. Otherwise we have all the elements. And the elements above the stage are chef's kiss.

Edit: That came off way more defensive/aggressive than intended. F$F:HD Hollywood looks amazing. I can't wait to see what they unleash in Orlando.

Not the heartline roll, the corkscrew towards the start of the ride. The cars facing each other upside down is such a great moment. As for the dive loop, I don't think the twisted top hat will do the same thing because you're likely to go up it forwards.

Fascinated that they screwed up the flange on the track and not the support. Wonder who in QA messed that one up/missed.

Oh, I totally forgot about the corkscrew at the beginning. Yea, we don't have that. (Sigh).

maybe that's their solution to HHN lines being so bad. Start cycling this so everyone hangs out in NY hoping for Softs. :lmao:

And it is now complete.

In less than a year, Universal demolished Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and completed the layout for a new coaster.

When this was first announced, I wasn't thrilled with the idea of a Fast & Furious coaster. But seeing the entire layout now and factoring in the rotating ride vehicles, I'm pumped.

For sure , they are two different track layouts with the same name. So people will no doubt compare them. I still think they should name it after New York .. or hell.. Orlando ?

My mind defaults to this version as Orlando Drift. Calling it HD just doesn't fit considering how much of a different beast it is compared to the USH version.

But as mentioned already, this is shaping up to be a far superior ride than HRRR ever was.
