Montezooma were all essentially (for the most part)

We can't keep giving Knott's Berry Farm any credit here. They announced Montezooma's upgrade in January of 2022. That's 18 months before Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift was announced! I'd sure as hell hope that Montezooma opens first!

I said it before but I’ll say it again: When Monty closed, a major coaster coming to USH was not even a rumor yet!

In the time Monty was closed, rumors of a F&F coaster started, then SES and AA closed, they built the ride and essentially completed it during the entire time Monty was closed.

With that being said they need to hurry up on whatever is going on with this ride. We waited long enough.

Not too mind blowing when you take into consideration the fact that Hollywood Drift's construction was much much much more complex than the other 3 coasters. Orlando's Hollywood Drift is entirely on flat ground with no actual building obstacles for them to work around. Montezooma's layout is super small and simple (and if we really want to get technical, they've been working on that project on the ground for far too ridiculously long), and Project Purple (apart from the upside down LSM's) is another coaster on flat ground with no obstacles to worry about.

I’m seeing Internet rumblings about the ride being delayed until Fall. Don’t know if there’s any truth to this.

It will be crazy to experience HHN before this thing opens.

They have until September 22 until Summer is over but yeah if it makes Mega Movie summer that would be amazing but not holding my breathe

Its just funny the one time I have an express pass is for HHN and could get on this at night time but looking like that might not even happen since I'm going night one

Oof. Was hoping to ride during my HHN trip but it’s looking more likely for my Star Wars Celebration trip instead or even HHN 2027. Fingers crossed for them.

I still wouldn't necessarily believe the overdramatic rumor that parts are flying off the vehicles. That's being parroted all over the place as fact, and I'm not certain it is.

Lets Pretend they know its not opening until Summer, would anyone here be upset they are keeping it to themselves?

Like if they know its not opening before the end of Mega Movie summer, I'd rather they just be honest and say it will be opening later this year and give us details then but I don't get how its opening anytime soon with no testing

You’re presuming “they know” when it’ll open. They may be as much in the dark as we are.

If the ride needs a part, they may not know when it’ll arrive. If the ride needs more testing, they may not be able to predict then it’ll pass the tests. If the ride is having a mechanical issue, they may not know how long it’ll take to fix. You get the idea…

I understand that this is all online here-say, but if there's something that would cause this kind of massive delay it would definitely be this. If not the "flying spoiler" than what would?

We are truly living in the bad timeline.

There's plenty of reasons this could be delayed, we just might not be able to see what they are.
