Anyone know how many vehicles this has in total? I know Kong has 4 so I'm assuming since this has a set up of 2, it's a total of 8?

Yes, Kong can only run a maximum of four vehicles at a time. But they have 5 vehicles with 5 different AA drivers.

Not really. After all, people are riding with total awareness of Hollywood so I would expect it is a bit ho-hum for them... nothing special. But that is my surmise only and not based on feedback.

Concern? No.

I do think a lack of chatter indicates the ride is probably exactly what we're expecting it to be, and not much more. But who knows?
