I’m curious to know what those reasons are. I think it’s possible for a variety of reasons haha

Looking at the glass half full here, maybe they’re saving BTTF for a better concept if this is true?

For one....why redo a ride/theme that hardly anyone went on during its last years. Pretty empty theater most every time we went on. I actually liked the attraction, but it wasn't very repeatable after a few times.

Twisters makes sense as an easy overlay.

But it’s also an entirely lateral move ride-experience-wise (a chaotic race for your life through a largely nondescript setting) and, arguably, a step backwards franchise relevancy-wise.

So it’s absolutely going to happen.

Another possibility is that the Supercharged structure sits vacant for the time being while attention focuses on other areas like USF, hopefully a Simpsons replacement.

I'd much rather they take their time and do a fully bespoke attraction for that massive plot of land that is Supercharged.

Ideally the inverse would occur. Take the time to do a meaningful replacement for Supercharged before work begins on whatever is eventually replacing Simpsons.

i’ve been told by inside sources that when supercharged closes it will become a twisters attraction which will use the same ride system

It would certainly spice up this four-month-old conversation point hah. I'm of two minds about the idea:

- Like Legacy said, it's an easy overlay. The OG ride/show was really only one scene, so it could be done.

- On the other hand, the screens would still be a rough sell. The ride layout is still bad. And it just feels silly to, for a second time, take an old attraction IP and (potentially) do it worse (sorry Skull Island fans!!)

With Pokemon no longer slated for USF, and Hill Valley getting a full land in Britain...

Twisters replaces Supercharged, Springfield turned to Hill Valley? Hopefully main building still torn down for new ride (or if they're feeling crazy enough, rip out the current simulator for a new model and bring back the ride)?

The only thing that might throw a wrench in this plan is USB has the no Orlando clones mandate.

I agree that Hill Valley would make a lot of sense as a Springfield replacement. That being said, I still don't think Twisters would be the best option for a Supercharged successor. If the park wants to bring back older IPs, more marketable properties like Jaws or Ghostbusters would make more sense.

For variety sake, between whatever places Supercharged and Simpsons, it might be an idea to use a classic property for one, and a more modern IP for the other.

As for a modern IP, I'm still team Wicked replacing Simpsons.
