While True, Fast and Furious is going to be big for Flordia due to the market that I believe they may market, and I'm not just talking about the UK/Europe crowd.

The thing with this is they don't want to have it go fast hints 360 as its the easiest to convey motion.

However, with the update on the less screens more other things, I wonder if they are working on a flame/heatproof fabric that works well with projections so they can add practicals such as exploding cars etc without causing safety concerns with things catching on fire unintentionally. The screens provide sense of speed while you still get everything else

I have to believe that the only scene where you'll have to use 3D glasses (although I am betting that they may just cut it for Orlando in the terms of 3D..) will be the 360 sequence. Much like Hollywood, they use a form of Musion that includes even practical effects with a truck. I think that it's more likely that for the scenes before and after the 360 sequence that they'll add forms of practical effects that don't cause issues with Musion.

I have a feeling that while I want it, there probably won't be any practical effects in the 360 sequence.

They are different experiences of 360 though, atleast when I rode it in Hollywood, one focuses on being pushed around and stuff with water effects, the other one focuses on fast paced action scenes moving through a city with tons of smoke effects and I think there may of been some water effects but I forgot. It's kind of hard to explain but they just felt well, different. Anyways, this will probably be a big hit among the GP (Most likely because of the popularness of the IP) and IMO this will be a great addition.

What you just described reminds me of Spider-Man and Transformers one is very fast paced try to keep up the other is more tame and right with the action and I do have to say I enjoyed both for what they do try to create for the rider

I've partly re evaluated my opinion on F&F since I rode Kong. The 360 scene is as immersive as immersive gets. And Robert Niles says the Kong 360 scene was vastly improved over it's Hollywood cousin. So, I'm hoping for an Orlando 360 scene that corrects the shortcomings of the Hollywood version. And, as I've been saying for the past year,I'm hoping for a Disaster type set & effects in place of, or addition to, the Hollywood screens. I could live with that, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Universal fixes the Hollywood so so attraction into a big plus attraction for Orlando. Color me curiously almost optimistic. I'm watching.

Maybe the first 40 seconds of the 360 tunnel will take place in a subway station and all kinds of freaky stuff happens. A tanker truck falls through the ceiling and explodes, there's a flash flood, and a subway train almost crashes into your truck. All in spectacular 3D CGI!

Awww....Nostalgia. I always enjoyed enjoyed Earthquake/Disaster. So sad that the trams & effects had reached the point of no return. That was one impressive scene when it was running on all cylinders.

Have fond memories of the pre shows too, stitched both my Mother and my Daughters BF up with "acting" parts, my mothers gardening was awesome LOL. Shame they never sold photos of the "actors" and the final video, I'd have snapped their hands off on both occasions.

Yea, good memories. Unbeknownst to me, during the introduction, Alene was standing behind me pointing, for them to choose me for a scene. Instead, they turned the tables and chose her instead. So she got to appear in the screen test pre show. That was one of many times we've been in the Universal shows. We've been in just about every show, some a few times ( I think Alene's been picked for Blues Brothers at least six times), that Universal has had. Except for the hated Fear Factor, of course.....The best one was the live drum act they had in Jurassic Park about six years ago. They chose Alene to play the drums for a short stint. The group was so impressed they actually asked her to do the entire next show on stage with them. And that was her first day ever at Universal, so it was a huge blast for her.

^ I never saw the drum act in JP. It must have been short lived?

This is why screenz are needed as there is no way something this elaborate could be done any other way.

Great. Now, you're going to get a screen debate going in this thread. Right off the track we go...

The only time I ever saw it was when we went in 2011. A shame they didn't continue it since it was perfect for Jurassic Park.

As long as it doesn't have that graffiti on it, I'll be cool.
