Title! What are your favorite animatronic(s) in the parks?

For me, my current #1 favorite is levitating Drac in Unchained, it's an incredible effect and the delivery of "Do you fear the dark my friends?" is done perfectly.

Others that I can think of are escaping Drac and the first Wolfman (and really all the Unchained animatronics), the dementors in FJ, all the ballroom ghosts of Haunted Mansion, and... sadly as I type this out is when I realize a lot of my favorite animatronics from childhood at Disney are gone. :(

Currently, Skull Island's Kong, the Forbidden Journey dementors, and Hondo in the Smuggler's Run pre-show are top contenders. And as simple as they are, I've always loved the subtle movements given to all the presidents in Hall of Presidents. Ursula in Little Mermaid is a pretty underrated one, too.

All-time, Kongfrontation's final Kong, the Xenomorph(s) and the Wicked Witch from The Great Movie Ride, and the "chasing" Carnotaurus from Dinosaur are very high on my list. Also the Pirates Auctioneer... before Disney destroyed the scene.

And, of course, the Expedition Everest Yeti when he worked, which I was lucky enough to experience once before he was turned off.

Have you been to USH yet? I just went for the first time and find their Dementors to be insanely more impressive and scary.

I have, and I agree. Scene in Hollywood feels more intense.

Wish we could have gotten the original intent in the Orlando version with the dementor "swarm," or whatever that effect would be called.

The shaman in the Skull Island queue is fantastic. I love queue animatronics; even the limited movement slug in that queue is awesome. It's fun to watch first-timers get in for a close look when it is lying still and then react when it moves.

Good call. That's one of the best queue "rooms" anywhere (provided you're not stuck in it for more than one or two cycles).

Actually, my favorite AA in the whole world is apparently all located in Epic Universe. 3: levitating Drac(hardest scene to differenciate physical and screen) 2: Final flying Drac(need more smooth programming, timing adjustment) 1: shelf dropping Death Eater with Umbridge’s pink fart(perfect)

Honorable mention can be La Tanière du Dragon in Disneyland Paris.

I wish the Orlando area parks had more of this kind of experience.

IOA sort of used to with Triceratops Encounter, and those figures -- despite not doing very much -- impressed with their size.

Yes. Generally I have hotel express when I do Kong. But I always stop and watch the entire Shaman scene from the other side of the short dividing wall. "Kong Kong Kong", what a great total scene from start to the bombastic ending.
