Soo in an interesting note, it seems there may be some internal drama regarding Fright Dome, and it's possible future.

I went once a long, long time ago (maybe 10 years ago, give or take?). I thought it was fine. Not great, not terrible (aside from the horrible and mobbed ticket lines to get in).

I don't know if this has changed in the intervening years, but at the time, they would let in fairly small groups (about 6-8 people) that would be lead by a staff member. Some of the transitional elements were just black curtains. At some point we got a bit behind, and went through a curtain thinking we were following the group... and ended up in a brightly lit break area, where a monster casually smoking a cigarette stared at us, then finally said, "You were supposed to go your right."

The worst HHN is five times better than Fright Dome.
