I may or may not have just listened to all 5 minutes of that!

That music (and the preshow) are the most enjoyable components of the entire attraction.

Shrek is one of the best pre shows around. Funny as all heck like The Simpsons.

Just heard a juicy new rumor! According to Universal Insiders, they are seriously looking into knocking down Shrek for a Secret Life of Pets Dark Ride.

I hope it goes where shrek is, the only problem is would we lose space for a maze at HHN?

With Nintendo, Universal already has a problem with HHN. They could always build 2 tents backstage behind ET/Hollywood

I'm skeptical, but Shrek would absolutely be the ideal place for a SLOP dark ride; it would break up the consolidation of 3D attractions at the front of the park.

I doubt Shrek is big enough for a dark ride though

I think there would be plenty of room if they went multi-level with it.

The other potential location for a Secret Life of Pets Dark Ride would be the Toon Lagoon Amphitheater. But still hearing Shrek 4D is the most likely to go.

Off topic, but I would love for them to find a way to put it behind the fake facade in the NY section

Agreed. As much as I'd love for the Toon Lagoon theater area to be put to use, SLoP would be a great addition to New York. And it'd be great to get a practical ride in there to break up the 3D simulators in the area.

Realistically, is there any currently-backstage room behind any of the New York facades for an attraction of some size? I guess with some creativity, you'd only need room for a ride entrance if the queue then took us away from the area to a show building. But I haven't studied any overhead views recently.

I'm pretty sure there isn't, but it is my dream scenario

I say get rid of Shrek and the hello kitty story to fit SLOP. As long as it's mostly practical with like two screens that arw kind of like in the background, I'll be happy!

How big is the Shrek building? Surely not big enough for a significant replacement?

I hope in the future Universal can re-do the entrance plaza to make it feel like your in Hollywood and Shrek 4D is replaced for space.

I am glad that someone else still wants this to happen.

I would gladly take that over any damn attraction, as it would give more footspace for the park and if possible, you can finally update the DM exterior to actually look more..better, than what in god's name it is now.

I'd like to see something else done with Despicable Me eventually, too. I think it's freaking weird that that's basically the very first thing you see when you enter the park. Move the ride, replace the ride, move the entrance to the back, something.
