My one concern with the house would be if it was just generic zombies. Assuming they have more creative monsters, it should be amazing.

I defiantly think it won't be just zombies and be more creative monster by the artwork posted.

It is very cave heavy. I’ve heard it described as the underground portion of Poltergeist (remember that rumor) or the Upside-Down portions of Stranger Things.

Terrible name though.

EDIT -

So thrilled you were able to discern the theme and story of this house based on the name “Lily.” Great job. You should be proud of yourself.

Curious why this house would need a soundstage based on that - seems that it could have fit just fine into a tent?

Lol don’t worry I’m tired of it too. The whole point I’m trying to make is that it literally has no impact whatsoever on speculation, the event, or any of our lives whatsoever. There’s literally no point in the name calling, one-upping, “I told you so”-ing, guilt tripping, and gaslighting every single user in this community (including the mods) have participated in over these little codenames. None.

I understand that some users are going to read this and still think that I and everyone else who feels any differently about codenames or speculation are stupid. But hopefully at least a couple people think about how silly all of this is.

This event and speculation are supposed to be fun, let’s keep it that way. That is all I have to say…back into hiding I go

For the last f'n time:

It's been repeatedly said in some capacity that some will be obvious, some won't, or in some cases, have a convoluted tie-in (ex. Triplets - Fudge), and that it would be pointless to try to connect something that may or may not be there.

They changed it because the codenames would quasi-confirm rumors, and even if there were a tie-in, you wouldn't know the significance until after the fact.

Trying to predict houses based on codenames is obviously folly. Trying to reconstruct what the convoluted tie-in between the codename and the house might have been, after the fact, is sort of fun (for some of us). But I think for the sanity of all we can move on and enjoy the new shiny house announcements we're getting this week.

So wait… in this house we’re zombies being attacked by ghouls?

The more I think about it, the more it seems… a bit Triplets-y.

My understanding is that your journey into the afterlife isn't "peaceful", we're just fed to the creatures.

The whole “eating your flesh” thing seems to clash with the “afterlife” idea. It feels a bit like several ideas mashed together. It also doesn’t really feel “soundstage-y.” But this is all going off a brief description, so who knows.

It suddenly makes me want a house where you’re the zombie being attacked by townspeople.

Yup you're right, every house code name is actually a complex hint towards the house. We can't fool how brilliant you are. Now, go figure out the rest of code names and houses, but you can't post them here or it will ruin it! Best to do it in private, offline.

Thank you for understanding the origins of what "ghouls" are. Kudos

As Legacy mentioned, it sounds like Poltergeist. But I would also expect a lot of the last part of Darkest Deal

I like how every year seems to have a creature feature house of some kind. This feels in line with Depths of Fear/Nightingales/Goblin's Feast. Hoping it's claustrophobic and scary.

with ppl saying this house doesn’t seem to fit in a SS, remember that both houses this is said to be like this (Poltergeist and Strath upside down) we’re in SS.

I wouldn't be shocked if it has a style similar to Nightingales Blood Prey where it is super confined to trench-like walkways yet still has a grander scale visually. The last few houses to give me that sense were Poltergeists underground scenes mentioned above and the graveyard area of Darkest Deal.

I’m loving the simpler original concepts! I hope the house is unrelentingly claustrophobic making for a long experience like Insidious was last year. I’m curious to see the underworld, and am hoping they bring back the floor mirror effect.
