So the new Harry Potter coaster should be open before Star Wars: Galaxy Edge opens at Disney's Hollywood Studios? (I believe Star Wars is rumored to debut late 2019.)

Intersting conversation going on right now on WDW Magic's HP Coaster thread:
Poster: "Make it a family friendly coaster , indoor segments, a good story, a few thrills, good animatronics, a few screen areas".....
Marni: "Yep, that's pretty much the coming ride"
Disneyhead: "Surprisingly accurate, actually"
Marni: "I think it was more of a lucky guess (referring to the poster) looking at the rest of the post. I'm looking forward to this one. And the next one".
...
some guesses from members about Studio's projects...
Marni: "I'm just talking about IOA"

just so we're on the same page, is Mummy considered a "family friendly coaster"?

I would say no. Universal rates it as a "Thrill Ride" and it has a 48" height restriction.

I think there's a difference between what Universal rates it as and what's talked about on forums.

At least, I'd think. Alicia Stella's posts gave me a tiny bit of hope for this.

yeah it seems like an exciting ride from what I've read on this thread, however the term "family coaster" has such a negative connotation with me haha

It's just a semantics thing. Disney was calling Expedition Everest a "family" ride when it was getting ready to open, and it's still a pretty intense experience.

Am I reading into "scenes that are not assosiated with existing buildings" too much?

Or rather, how should I read that? haha

In addition the few additional inside parts that will be built, outside scenes will each include their own small utility buildings as well.
