MAJOR changes to many opening times for mazes!
-FNAF will keep opening at 5:00PM from here on out
-Jason will now open at 5:30PM instead of 6:15PM
-Terrifier will now open at 5:00PM instead of 5:30PM
-Poltergeist will now open at 5:15PM instead of 5:30PM

Smart choices that should also mean performers get more hours. Thank you for the update.

Have people noticed that at early entry the houses are staffed though? When we’ve done houses during early entry they’re vastly understaffed in years past and if we can repeat them later in the night they’re much better. But some lines don’t allow that, nor do our energy levels lol

I still remember in the years before the pandemic, all the early entry mazes were staffed to the brim even super early. Really a shame that they've adopted this new technique after the pandemic. Does anyone know if the problem is still just as bad this year?

I didn't think there were any limits on Thursdays. The Universal website says only Fri, Sat, and Sun are blocked during Sept and Oct (unless it's a blockout day for Gold--since I have Platinum, I'm not exactly sure when those are).

Which also means that should anyone be going the final weekend in November, the parking limit should be lifted in it's entirely by then! And Thursday and Wednesday in October should also be fine.

Just looked at the back of my passport and it says “Free parking except for Fri, Sat, and Sun in April, May, Sep, and Oct.”

Might make a last-minute trip tonight then if that’s the case!

I'm here now. Good line for EA at 3.50pm, they let in to line up at the middle turnstiles at 4pm. Turnstiles were manned but they didn't let in until 5pm. Was out of Five Nights by 5.15pm, regular line was already huge.

It comes down to whether 1) they move up call times to accommodate the earlier opening times and 2) they move up the pool call time to get swings assigned, costumed, and transported to their venue. My understanding is that for several years post-pandemic, they have not done this, and the results were pretty obvious.

FNAF, Scarecrow, and Jason all seemed fully staffed for EA when I went. The only maze that seemed to be missing maybe 2 rooms of people was WWE, but I was literally the first person in and as I was exiting, 3 scareactors were just being dropped off. I'm sure if I waited an additional 5 minutes, those 2 rooms would've been filled. Later that night, I repeated andsaw those rooms with scareactoras, so it all worked out.

Honestly, the only year I noticed EA being understaffed was last year. I'm sure there was maybe 1 spot missing here or there in previous years, but not entire houses being near empty like last year. This year was just about normal as you can imagine.

I also have to add that the queue management is a disaster for Wyatt Sicks--both design and management. No one can find the line, and that crossover is a mess.

I'm here tonight and I can confirm. Who on earth approved this nonsense? They had employees running up and down the queue telling people what to do.

Never will I buy into the propaganda that last year was successful and crowds stayed away because of the heat LOL. This year feels almost designed to make sure they have a runaway success and it looks like they have it -- probably will be the most popular year they've ever had.

I went and it was not like this, they aren't selling less EA or express and they are selling out

Its not Shade to last year but the lines for food and merch is selling out this year is what they want from HHN

This is what I've been saying you put money and listen to fans and they come. I hope USH is looking at this and trying to find a way to make Fan fest while not as busy but getting more IPs that are hot and new

Also I got in line for FNAF at 5:10 PM and was out by 6 PM, you basically either rope drop FNAF or you wait easily over an hour most the night

Fallout also seems to almost never go down under 30 mins most the early night, so still only done that one once

Also food lines are just insane you basically need to put aside 30+ mins to order and eat your food and most HHN food locations with some exceptions but i almost never see Jason, the plaza or Fallout get low lines once the event gets into full swing

Also Hamkuma (the bear) has a new meet and greet area in the day time he's at dreamworks and at nightfall they bring him to the area where the Wicked characters met at the feature presentation store

I got to see the Witch Show at 10PM last night, love it

He is at the Dreamworks/Animation Store in the day time 4-5 PM and later on when its dark he is where the Wicked Characters met at the store on the right hand side when you enter the park called Featured Presentation

Popular is an understatement. It requires an absurd amount of work to see everything in this event and it was a Thursday (a holiday for some, but a weekday nonetheless) and I barely saw all the houses, and that was skipping Terror Tram.

I am personally frustrated about the clear overselling of express this year more than ever. I think that is exemplified by the fact that Five Nights at Freddy's was one of the shorter waits of the night, and it was posted at 180 minutes at one point. Every other house line I walked into was double the posted time and the express line never cleared. I had to wait 80 minutes for Scarecrow with a posted 30 and that was getting in line prior to 7:45 PM. I know the waits cannot be taken seriously, but they are supposed to be a rough guide. I did not even dare go for food once, hungry as I was later in the evening. While I am glad to see the event is popular, if a person on their own with a extremely high degree of experience at the event cannot see everything the event has to offer, that is a clear sign that there is a problem.

During EA they are more correct but yeah I got into lines and waited longer then what was posted

I rather them scare people away and add time then go low and you wait longer
