Heads up it’s going to be raining tomorrow

No idea how this will effect the event

But I’m excited to do Monsterrous in the rain

Looking at the weather, the rain should subside by the time the event starts. Looks like it will stop around early afternoon-ish.

I've been checking the local weather a lot. I'm going up at around 5PM. Really humid but no rain for the event.

As of now...

We are in line for house 8 right now. Will post what we ended up doing later!

Edit:
9/18
Wristbands around 3:15pm
First in line for Hamikuma @ 4:05pm
Entered queue for FNAF (stopped moving) at 4:26pm
In line for Jason at 5:17pm
In line for scarecrow at 541pm but left because it had like 5-6 switchbacks and I don’t know how the queue works if they preload the front or not and express was full
The scarecrow entrance being blocked by fnaf queue was literally the worst we couldn’t get into the queue at first and when we decided to leave we couldn’t leave
In line at 6:01 for Terrifier
6:17 in line for poltergeist
6:32 in line for fallout
6:50 in line for monstruos
Got out and saw most? of the noche de brujas show
7:13 in line for Jason
First Bathroom break
7:39 in line for scarecrow
Out at 830
Ate at Jason and slash bar till 945
Got in line for purge dangerous waters at 954
Terror tram 10:31
On at 1048
1133 in line at chainsaw man
1150 in preshow (barely any standby; like 15 let in)
Witch show at 1215am and some hangout time in zone
Fallout food at like 1245am
Scaremony at 1am
Fallout at 114am
Out right around 130am
Watched chainsaw chase out and then stayed in the zone until park was closed

Been thinking about a Fan Appreciation Night concept that could work and satisfy customers and Universal. Here's my pitch:
- FANs are Thursday-Sunday opening weekend, then every Thursday and Sunday through September, select Thursdays and Sundays in October, and any days of operation in November.
- Capacity is sliced in half (most of these weekdays are low attendance anyway -- but such an experience might drive more people to attend).
- No Express or RIP tickets will be sold (might be more crowded than a typical low day, but lines will move more quickly and smoothly).
- Tickets are $200-250 -- twice the cost of General Admission (to recoup the budget of capacity in half).
- Merchandise and select food are 10-15% off (illusion of sales will drive people to buy more, recouping budget from missing Express and RIP tickets).
- Photo op areas with monsters exclusive to FANs.
- SuperNintendoLand is open to all exclusively on these nights (but will continue to close early at 9pm).
- Virtual Queue for Chainsaw Man/Dreamworks Theatre shows (because that wait must be brutal, Express or not, and this will help alleviate the situation).
- One-time Express (utilizing the Virtual Queue system) for a ride of your choice, excluding Mario Kart and Terror Tram (only available while time slots last -- those who somehow miss out or wish to opt out of rides can instead get prime seating for The Purge).
- Buy a ticket and get a 20% discount on an additional FAN night or 10% off a General Admission night.
- Event closes at 12am (Universal saves some money on employees working).

*The Frequent Fear Pass structure will have to be re-examined. It might even make sense to make those more for General Admission nights.

I went for a short time

Didn’t have EA, at 6:30 pm they let people in and fallout got a line

I walked on monsterrous and poltergeist but after that poltergeist said it was a 10 min wait but was over 20 because of Ops

With EA or express the event works but with just general your basically waiting in line all night

Also this weeks card is one of the witches from the Scarezone

Edit: The King Crow was in front of Scarecrow last night because of the rain earlier in the day

Isn't this just like exactly what Orlando's been doing with their Premium Scream Night? Probably would be good the first night, but after influencers and word of mouth, the same problems would arise they had where wait times were still long and the experience for the price paid was still not really worth it other than the free food, which isn't something your idea is adding.
Your also eliminating like half the event nights' general operations for the FAN ones, which I can't see Universal doing so for em with the high price and how that would effect FFP

I'm hoping it doesn't come down to that because then what was the purpose of him bringing up Icons at MSS and implying that he'd bring them back for the future?

Implying that this is the final year of Tram and that it's gone come next HHN.. I'm hoping it isn't because then how would we get Hollywood Harry again? Or even the return of Jack The Clown that Murdy teased at MSS? And what would have been the point of bringing them up at MSS?

I seriously doubt they would get rid of the Tram unless they absolutely had to (I.e. work being done on the WotW sets that could happen and/or no other location is available). They tried that in 2019 and everyone was like “Hey where the tram”??? Not only that but the Tram has been getting pretty substantial waits this year. I can’t think of a year in recent memory where the Tram hit 80 min! I think maybe in 2023 it got up to 45 min-ish?

They just found a winning formula to making the tram good and it sucks up a LOT of people. They would be foolish to not bring back the Tram unless any spots on the backlot weren’t available. There was rumored to be some beef with the backlot people and the theme park ops during FFN so there’s that.

I love the Tram, to me that's HHN Hollywood and I think it means a lot to be there, even on its bad years. 2019 did sting a little and it taking a year off every once and awhile isn't the end of the world, especially if there's outside forces making that occur, but if all came crashing down to one or two mazes again with Tram, then it'd still feel like HHN to me.

Remember, 2018 was the ""final year"" of terror tram as well, until it wasn't. It's possible they'll sacrifice that space for more mazes like 2019, but at this point I think their takeaway from that experiment was that it wasn't worth the loss of TT being a capacity powerhouse.
Also worth noting that Murdy said earlier in the year that he has ideas for changing up the layout of the tram in future years and said he considered having six points texas be a part of it in 2020 before that year got cancelled, so I think unless there's a good reason like higher ups wanting to tighten the budget or just not lend the studio space, I think it'll be safe.
