If anyone wants to say hi, I’ll be wearing black pants, and grey white and black flannel with the Bridge of Frankenstein HHN shirt underneath! Gonna crack open my ghost energy drink this afternoon to get ready to say my final farewells this afternoon!

Also the sooner we start speculation the better. There’s a LOT we all want to talk about.

I considered going again earlier this month, but I think I got cold feet about potentially going alone this time (along a mixure of other plans this month), and by last night I discovered the final night was sold out. I'm honestly okay with it though. I get to use some of that would-be money on Kirby Air Riders this month, and my only regrets are that two scares weren't there when I went in the FNAF house (a security guard being killed by an unseen animatronic and a Freddy arm from the wall), and I didn't have time to fully explore the Dia De Los Muertos plaza. Also in Fallout, the raider who slashed a Vault Dweller's throat wasn't there, so it was just the vault dweller stumbling with a bleeding throat.

As someone with limits with the genre, I can only hope there's still stuff I can stomach in next year's, especially if FNAF returns in some form.

Speaking of which:

They spent a lot of dough on FNAF next year and it’s still very popular. I would expect that to be our repeat next year.

With all the talk on the pros and cons of a repeat, it's definitely difficult with how it's getting its sequel this year. I personally feel like a repeat (maybe with some new elements or two) could allow the other houses to get a bigger budget invested into them. Then again, I just want to get the full animatronic band on stage after Orlando seemingly got priority of that by virtue of being the progenitor of the event.

I just saw this today. Any word that it's the same in Hollywood? I get the feeling those HHN 2025 specific shirts (and masks) might be limited to HHN though. Wonder if they'll just get discounts later or if the HHN branding shirts won't budge.

For that matter, I definitely wanna stay posted on the discounts for Chainsaw Man and maybe Fallout in particular. Might grab a thing or two but I don't wanna wait until it's too late. Anyone know the history of how HHN discounts progress after HHN ends? Speaking of which, I think all FFN merch is now gone from Take 2 when I went for a regular park day on the 25th.

Is the event open until 2AM?

I’ve heard in park TMs are telling people it closes at 2 AM but the website says 1 am

Oh ooof I need to ask. I’ve read everywhere it’s 1.

Also I entered FNAF a little before 6 when it was posted at 3 hours. Almost at the front and it’s only 30 min at the most, at least when I entered. Wait time has been exaggerated.

EDIT: Sign posted it. It’s official. 2AM closing let’s gooooo!

As I was doing more catchup, I wanted to throw my hat in the ring for this

What examples from this year don't sound that right? FNAF maybe but its always so crowded in there I can barley hear anything being said before I enter the house

These might be strange nitpicks, but in FNAF's case, I thought the Ghost Girl that haunts Chica in the kitchen using a recognizable girly stock scream was kind of immersion breaking. I know the movie used a stock children laugh sound when the ghost kids were messing with the audio systems in one scene, and that might have been the idea, but at least there it was more convincing when it came from a device. Not so much from the actual ghost girl, especially when the sound design of the ghost kid jumpscare in the movie was either very transformative or original to the movie. Everything else seemed more consistent with the movie's sound design, and maybe some of the vandals/guards sounds came from sound libraries also and I didn't notice.

Then again, Poltergeist also used a stock girly scream for one of those corpses in the coffins, but as a personal thing, I heavily associate it with one of the coaster/ride screams from Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and I couldn't help but laugh.

I kinda get it if they have no choice but to use stuff from sound libraries, some uses just tend to be more poor than others.

Did Early Access tonight: In line for FNAF at 4:45, then Scarecrow, Jason, and WWE, followed by Jurassic World. By 8pm, we pretty much called it a night, because Fallout and Monstruous were up to 50 minutes each and Terrifier was at two hours. Crowds were definitely getting thicker by that point, and holy crap, seeing the lanes of cars backed all the way down the freeway on our way out was insane.

I miss the old days when these final November days were practically ghost towns in comparison, but alas…

Other than a few minor grips — Fallout being too short, Purge needing some sort of change up, Chainsaw Man being a waste (for me personally) — this was an absolutely solid year. Much, much better than last year, IMO. I can’t believe it’s already come and gone (well, in a few hours of me writing this at least)!

Can’t wait to start speculating on what’s coming next year (*cough*Stranger Things 5*cough*) in a future thread! Hope everyone still at the event tonight is having a blast!

We really got screwed for the last tram. They were screaming at people to get on the tram and even got the cops to force people on the tram. We find out it’s the second to last tram. Somehow the bloggers get away with hiding by the side for the actual last tram. W. T. H.

Saw that FNAF, Terrifier and WWE had 60-70 minute waits at 2AM, that's either an inflated wait or they've got a huge backlog to clear out before closing up shop for the final time this year. Definitely a far cry from when they'd die out by the night's end in September.

Thank you HHN for closing at 2am

This is my favorite year of HHN and fright fest

Just what a year, I really hope they can match the energy of this year next year some how

The cast was on fire tonight got to say good bye to the Senior and Señorita in the main plaza and also bye to Edgar Allen crow (hoping somehow the crowz come back )

Had great runs on Jason, WWE, Terriffer and two fun runs of scarecrow to end my even along with the purge and also shoot out to the slash stilt Waller and art the clowns around the park

All the stars aligned this year. Two of the most popular series with almost cult-like fans in Terrifier and FNAF pulling in thousands of people from polar opposite sides of horror. A legendary, eternal horror icon in Jason Vorhees getting the chance to absolutely terrorize guests. The return of a legendary original with a new, goofy but banger soundtrack. A fantastic close to the Monstrous trilogy.

The genius innovation of park-wide roaming characters, which is too incredible to quietly put away and will probably have to come back every single year in some form. The return of Poltergeist, which is pretty cool as far as cost-saving repeats go.

And a near perfect house in Wyatt Sicks, bringing to life the vision of one of the most incredible minds in wrestling and entertainment, bringing pure joy to Bray and the group’s fans and masterfully inviting those with no knowledge to follow the buzzards.

When Murdy was all “guys we’re listening to the criticism and next year is going to be amazing” I figured that was at least 50% marketing speak. But no, absolutely legendary year that I will never ever forget.

As for next year… 20 years since the revival of HHN back in 2006. I wonder how that will be celebrated, and how we can possibly top this year…?

So on the thoughts of improving the event, I think what made the clowns work this year was Art with the clowns and gave it a story theme that connected a house to the scarezone very well

For 2026 Ghost Face being the Icon for the event can work with the tag line "whats your favorite scare movie" and mostly be about Horror Movies people love

1) Scream House
2) Ghost Face walking around the park and using the voice changer to "talk" to guests
3) Ghost Face Takes over the Terror Tram and he included into different horror movies, maybe finally give us a Psycho/Alfred Hitchcock section of the terror tram and Jordan Peele movies can take over another section and maybo also Rob Zombie gets a section
4) Since we are not getting Montertous 4, make the front section of the park up until the Plaza being themed to La Lorina and other South American haunts, also in the front of the park where the big Clown Photo op is add a mini show like the cat lady from crooked lane
5) Japanese inspired castle/house as the Facade of the house where Mosnterous is the back area can be a battle field with hunters and demons
6) FNAF coming back and adding Golden Freddy and other characters in the new film but keep most the layout, replace the puppet hands with real puppets and maybe replace one of the cupcakes with another character and have the opening scene have 3 AAA's over just Freddy
7) Hamkuma takes over the Dreamworks theater
8) Purge gets a new story or they retheme it to something like Resident Evil
9) death Eaters
10) SNW is open to everyone and maybe different music in the land and boo's projected in the land
11) bring back Jurassic in the dark

Certainly felt like it too. Most queues were PACKED for a large portion of the night. I had originally planned to just re-run Terrifier about 6 times from 6:00-6:30 since there is usually NO ONE back there during that time but there was a pretty consistent wait of about 30-40 mins that entire time so only got two runs. Then that maze got completely mobbed by the time general was able to get in. Even ended up waiting almost an hour for WWE (was still worth it though)

The final Terror Tram was botched SO badly. I am still really salty how poorly run that was. We waited to be on the final tram and when we got to the end they forced us to be on the second to last tram and did not allow us to wait because they could not come up with a decent system to make sure we were on the final tram. They better do better next year. Like, they couldn't give us wristbands or something? Come on. Like screaming at us to get the tram and using the cops to intimidate us to not sticking around for the final tram was infuriating.

Anyway, other than that major snafu, it was a solid closing night! Got my final runthroughs of everything except Poltergeist because screw that house. Not waiting an hour for that black wall fest. Cast was awesome and the final chaseout was great!

This year was definitely one for the books. It was great seeing Jason again, WWE was probably my favorite of the JP venue, and it was great seeing two big budget bondanzas like FNAF and Fallout at the event. Absolutely one of my favorite years for sure! Final rankings for me:

1) WWE: Horrors of the Wyatt Sicks
2) Jason Universe
3) Scarecrow
4) Fallout
5) FNAF
6) Monstrous 3
7) Terrifier
8) Potergeist

What a great year. Looking forward to speculating because boy I sure have some thoughts for next year!
