Throwing out my speculation; I think Poltergeist might be why we haven't really seen him talk about much of a 8th treatment. Depending on the way he could play it, he might not even really need a treatment written for Poltergeist; if it follows off of the ability to just plop the treatment as if it's in H-Lot as opposed to 747. We'll need to see how things go in the weeks ahead, but from the getgo I think it's Poltergeist.

A small update but the wood frame configuration already matches from 2018 to now.

I’d stand to wonder if Scarecrow might take SS12.

An original in a soundstage feels off, but maybe that could work to advantage in reducing traffic flow? Either that or Mummy wouldn’t be bad calls (as I do think Scarecrow is Scarecrow 2 and not just a repeat).

That wouldn't be a first.. Black Sabbath (music IP, but still an original) in 2013 was inside SS747

Even The Weeknd is a technical "original", despite being music based. That was a SS both times.

Last year's Universal Monsters was an original in SS12... of course they always fall into the grey area of being an IP. Considering it was an original story featuring an original female character.

To be quite honest, we don't even know what can come in 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, or 2030 so maybe one of those years can be the most memorable. Then again, which year is the most 'memorable' isn't always necessarily about the properties held about the event but moreso, the personal experiences people have at the event. 2016 was by far the best for properties last decade and I know many people who did not like their experiences that year thanks to how packed it was because of all the massive IP's brought that year. Hell, we could be seeing that again this year and if so, get ready for waits that'll put 2023's 300 minute lines to shame.

This falls under the category of looking for patterns when none exist. Short of a significant anniversary, nothing about the year or its proximity to the end of a decade really affects how the event is conceptualized or executed.

I actually expect this year to be insanely disappointing on the basis everyone here is expecting “x coming after being requested only after rising in popularity a year or two ago! Let’s go!”, and quality won’t match the expectation.

Kind of HHN’s way of going “here you go. Aw, don’t like it? Well at least it’s here!”

I’m still nearly 100% confident everything I mentioned a few pages ago is coming. My main fear right now is just that they’ll waste the potential of all those IPs. This could be the best year in a while, but if they don’t use the IP to its fullest potential what’s the point?

This reminds me, I miss Supercharged now. The ending to the tour feels weird and pretty lackluster. Hopefully they reopen Supercharged for the Terror Tram and have the trams go in. That'll truly make a terrifyingly good experience.
