Piss, sometimes it's okay to take responsibility instead of excusing every issue with "just joking."

We're always game for good humor, but when it's always the excuse, it lessens the impact; and even if no ill will is meant intentionally, it doesn't free you of consequences. Sometimes, it's ok to say "sorry" or even nothing at all.

@Clive wasn't kidding. Things were different for the audition process, at least this year.

To give an update, it was held at Sheraton & they were behind schedule. Very behind. Those that had 12pm audition time didn't even get to check in until around 1240pm. It was already after 130pm by the time I had mine. One of my friends who had her audition later on that day said they were still severely delayed. What should've been like a 30-45min process max, ended up being over an hour+. It was crazy.

No group scare this year, just straight to solo scares & dying. The groups were much larger than normal too. My friend said they barely fit everyone during her time. It was definitely interesting this year compared to past years.

Hopefully this isn’t foreshadowing the event itself, but considering every event last year suffered from staffing issues ....I'm a little

Obviously anecdotal but weren't there some rumors floating around last year that a lot of veterans who got gold cards at auditions were ghosted when it came to casting? If true, I imagine a lot of the staffing situation will come down to whether that continues this year too.
Frankly I'm most surprised that they didn't toss on an extension of an extra day for auditions with how backed up they were, but I imagine that has a lot of logistical hoops they'd have to jump through with the sheraton itself though.

Wouldn't be surprised since I did see former long-time HHN scareactors working the other events last year (Dark Harbor, Knotts, etc)

I'm sure there will be another audition notice going out again soon, most likely catering to specific roles.

Casting emails should be going out a lot sooner than normal. Hopefully they don't result in excessive empty booholes like last year.

I wasn't there, but from what I heard from friends who were, a lot of the delays they were having with check-in were directly related to having the returners who were there just for measurements wait in the same line to check in with everyone else who was there for the general audition.

Yeah if anything the rights for Elm Street are less messy, right? Just have to make a deal with New Line and maybe the Craven Estate, versus Friday where you have to disentangle which part of what film belongs to who.
