I didn't get how important it was for there to be some sort of originality to get sucked into this world Universal had created until last year when there was none. Then the event went from Disney World to Cedar Point, in a way.

Agree 100%! The originality is gone and the world that ties it all together is dead and doesn't look like it will be returning. I feel the transition to the HHN of now occured when James Michael Roddy left. Once he was gone the originality and elaborate backstories faded. I mean come on, he created Jack the Clown...that man was crazy good at his job and now that he's at Disney it seems he has taken all the creativity with him. Patrick Braillard seemed to try his best with HHN21 having an icon and story, after all he was the face of HHN21 in the online media publicity. Then it seems with Michael Aiello at the throne the creativity and backstories, along with icons, have faded...sadly :/ The houses are great, don't get me wrong, but HHN needs that magical spark again that Kenny Babbel and Roddy brought in the past! With Aiello as Head Show Director now it seems we have lost what set HHN apart from haunts accross the country! He is a great creative person but nowhere near Roddy of Babbel! And don't get me wrong, Cabin in the Woods is awesome! I just wish HHN would listen to what the fans want and not what will bring them the most $...Happy fans = lots of guests = lots of $$$

Sorry, no. Aiello is one hell of a creative.

Also, when you call Lady Luck a "story", you're really stretching.

The main site has updated with some "Video Evidence". The video reminds me of MarbleHornets and their Slenderman investigation.

Don't like that they don't include the last day of the event in any of the pass options, kind of put off by that. Its not a huge thing, I'll still get a FFP, but it is kind of off-putting.

They have added the last weekend to the ticket in the past. It's not 100%, but it has been done.

With Lady Luck I said they "attempted" and I'm not doubting him but he hasn't been able to deliver the overall storytelling that Roddy and Babbel were capable of...maybe he has that but he has yet to produce it is what I meant. I know he probably is but it seems like he just doesn't care about overall story. The thing that sets HHN apart from other parks is the immersion of story. If I wanted to just go to individual houses I would go to a Cedar Fair park!

Honestly, HHN has been using sequels, IPs, and movie inspired houses since the beginning. A lot of movies they couldn't get rights to or didn't try to they made loosely based houses on them. The first year had all the classic monsters and Beetlejuice. Then there is Crypt Keeper and so on. I don't promote strictly movie houses but if they are done good I'll deal with it.

Right now I'm more concerned about them trying to get far to many people involved in Legendary Truth. But, I've always been the 12+ events night kind of fan.

Lady Luck was the first year that I started to notice the change. I actually loved XX, and I remember thinking that 21 felt like something was missing. Like I said, you dont notice what sets things apart until theyre gone. 2008 will always be my favorite year, because of (among many other reasons) its coherence and immersion and storyline, even though my favorite line up of houses was 2011.

Just purchased my HHN Rush of Fear Pass. I must say I have made simpler online ticket purchases. I also had no "Print at Home" option, despite me registering my passes, which was frustrating.

They might add it mid way through the run.

OK guys, I have another question RE HHN tickets. well 2 actually.

I have seen the rush of fear pass and this is the ideal ticket for me.

SEPTEMBER
20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 29
OCTOBER
3, 4, 5, 6

$72.99 plus tax
$59.99 plus tax (annual pass rate)

I arrive on the 20th and leave on the 10th so it perfect, also covers weekends where as the one I can purchase here in the UK doesn't.

So here we go with my questions.

I am going to be purchasing an AP which I don't want to activate until my first park day, is there a way of getting the AP discounted RofFP even though my AP wont b eactive yet? I know you can do it for hotel booking but can I do similar for HHN tickets?

Also am I correct in thinking that if I have AP + RofFP that I am covered for stay and scream?

Thanks in advance.

What I did last year was pick up my AP at Will Call and then went to the nearest window and bought a Rush of Fear (I don't think they have a limit on how many they sell?)

You are good to go

At park closing head to the stay and scream area and they will just scan your ticket and put you in the heard with the rest of the crowd

No problem. The area by Finnegan's gets pretty busy so if your looking to eat during that time you may want to head over sooner. Also a good spot to pregame

Cool, what are the chances that they will use the Simpsons area this yr for holding, could be a real cash cow for them.

Not sure, but would be a perfect spot. They used the Kidzone area in the past, I believe one year we waited over there. Could have been for something to do with pass holders though, that was years ago and my memory is kinda of lacking since im sure we had already started drinking way before that point

They tend to have two Stay and Scream areas. I don't see why they can't change it to Fast Food Blvd instead of Kidzone and open the two tents first. Finns gets a serious crowd because of pre-gaming, I could see Moe's doing the same though.

Makes plenty of sense. Wouldn't surprise me a bit.

I'm guessing these viral videos will ultimately lead to the reveal of an icon.
