To be fair, they did have One Fish Two Fish, Caro-Suess-El, and Storm Force open when the event was at IOA, though I never checked to see how many people actually went on them.

One Fish, Two Fish and Caro-Suess-El had no atmosphere to ruin since Suess Landing during HHN was literally nothing--just low lighting and wonky music. Storm Force is tucked away and under a pavilion. The structure/lighting of K&K is a lot more obvious and its located not only right along a main walkway but also on the bay that the CineSpec show will run (well, if they run a HHN edition again).

I dont think itll happen. DM also doesnt really attract a HHN-type crowd but people ride it during the event because it has shorter lines then...the same cant be said for K&K which only has 20 minute lines now. It would just be a waste and an atmosphere killer IMO.

Despicable Me is now a major franchise. It's popularity has grown tenfold over the past year. Last year at Horror Nights I waited 20 minutes when the park was closing for the ride. It will be open during HHN, and it should.

I believe Twirl N' Hurl will be open since it will be a scare free area. Brand new area.. might as well. Doesn't take much to operate it. Maybe use a dark light package for Horror Nights. Use Treehouse of Horror music.

Looks like the first midnight house announcement is La Llorona. From the HHN Facebook:

#‎HHNRevealWeek‬ begins tonight. Here’s a clue to the first midnight announcement: ¿Dónde están mis hijos?

Finally have some Bill & Teds rumors ... largest cast ever, bringing in dancers specifically for the dance numbers (rather than actors pulling double-duty). And sounds like they cooked up a new role for the "Honey Boo Boo" actress from last year. However, surprisingly to me, another character I assumed was a lock will NOT be returning, despite his 6 inch--er--15 minutes of fame not quite being up yet.

Hopefully the show isn't as misogynistic and homophobic this year as it has been. There's a fine line in parody comedy that stands between being funny and just offensive. And then people become defensive because they're not the ones being offended, and then things get ugly.

If people find it offensive they can get up and leave. Didn't know they had seatbelts forcing people to watch it.... This day and age you can't please everyone and HHN fans are becoming complainers.

I doubt that if you pay almost half of a full day's admission to attend a world class event, you'd be so willing to just get up from the flagship show. It does give a disclaimer, but that's hardly an excuse to condone offensive theatrics. Not everyone is privileged enough to not feel unnecessary offense. Political jabs and religious remarks are one thing, but when it delves into ridiculing a certain group of people for stereotypes surrounding something they can't change, it's just distasteful.

Being politically correct isn't the goal. Being at the very least a decent human being throughout a comedy show is.

I get what you're going for here, but this is supposed to be an intense, highly inappropriate show. Everything has to be okay to attack, or nothing is. I'm not really sure what you're even referring to that was homophobic last year... but then last year's show was really forgettable. They make fun of politics, movies, television, and everything else - and I'd like it to stay that way. The moment you start saying "this isn't okay, this isn't okay, this is fine, etc." the show ceases to be funny and starts becoming a drag (as it has in the last few years in the advent of the constant dumbing down to avoid complaints and lawsuits). I'd love for that to stop. As the Leaker says, if you don't like it, you can leave.

Seriously, Bill & Ted is supposed to be the one place where political correctness goes to die in the theme park world.

I just tweeted Mike about the Chainsaw Drill Team and whether or not they will be in the SZ's and he replied:

The Drill team will be part of this year's event...

Now that doesn't automatically confirm that they will be in SZ's, but I really don't see a house incorporating the CDT. Have they done it in the past?

Evil Dead will have chainsaws in them doubt it would be the drill team. I have heard they would be towards the front of the park by the gate.

Maybe. I was hoping for a group of Insane Chainsaw Welding survivors that attack anyone they see, Mistake people for walkers. Kind of like the security guards for last year's Terror Tram.
