Going on my 9th year this year! Although I'm not nearly as scared of the event as I was in '05, every year is a blast (even though last year BLEW).

For those considering not going because of last year, cut Uni some slack. Lots of things were happening all at once and most of it was unforeseen. To me, this year seems more promising than the last few strictly because there are November dates. NOVEMBER DATES FTW!

November dates means nothing for people only going one weekend.

If the lineup isn't interesting, I'll be skipping this year, plain and simple.

I would wait to skip or not once reviews actually come out. Have money set aside and if no need put it towards HKDL.

Tokyo. Haha

If there are no scarezones and it's mostly IPs, I'll probably just skip this year and head back in 2014.

I said, "to me," November dates make this seem like a more promising year already. But I can see your point. A part of me wishes I didn't attend last year. Working there was a blast, but I was immensely let down as a guest.

This will be my 6th year! I'm very excited about this year's many dates. I think I might be getting a FFP+ again

Did anyone see the amazing race this past Sunday? They had to go through this abstract German maze/haunt that is part of a bar there. It was very Euro.

I did! Although Uni wouldn't do something like that, going up ladders and stuff, last year they included some parts where you had to crouch, and I liked that

City of Orlando wants to extend alcohol serving till 3am, that could potentially affect HHN if implemented.

I love the idea of more HHN time, especially for peak nights/Hell Week, but it seems like the scareactors would be absolutely dead by 3 AM. Thoughts as a former scareactor?

Well, just because the city itself extends its serving time till 3am doesn't necessarily mean that HHN will extend till 3am. Unfortunately, that's also exactly what could happen - HHN and alcohol are possibly the two greatest things on earth by themselves, and when combined, are a powerhouse in terms of money.
I only say "unfortunately" when referring to the time extension because, after working from 6pm-2am on some nights, you get super, super tired. You'd be lucky to feel your legs after a long night of scaring, and I personally found it rare that, when asked to extend for another 45 minutes after my clock-out time, I would want to stay.
Drunk HHN-ers would just end up pissing me off if I had to stay an extra hour to scare someone who's too drunk to appreciate the effort (no offense to those who drink there, I wish I could, but an extra hour seems too much).

Sometimes I really like my city. Throwing around the idea of extending alcohol service with about a month until I turn 21.

Needless to say, HHN this year will be..."interesting."

I mean it might take a year or so to go into effect. Even so, I'm sure Universal would extend some of Saturday nights until 3am.

Related thoughts... They ran out of a lot of alcohol beverages on many nights last year. Sometimes I couldn't even get a Mike's Hard by the middle of the event night... :fist:

^ Ha ha.

Well they got to fix that, right. Not only sucks for the customers, but losing out on revenue opportunities
