I am just asking as I haven't really dabbled onto this but.. With Michael Aellio saying that 4 of the 5 icons will be

shelved for a long time and due to this icon is the most popular... Do you guys think Jack might come back in 24 or maybe

25 but i'm just wondering as it'd make sense due to hes the most memorable and downright successful icon of any of them.

I think we'll have an announcement within the next 3wks

I'm thinking that too, same time silent hill was announced. Hopefully the midnight reveals, those would be tons of fun with forum members

I think it's a big possibility, there is talk about the "prop master" with torturous devices but that could really be anybody including jack. I know it's pretty much confirmed there will be a icon this year so it might be original or the jack rumor. For 25 I'd expect all of them to get a return in one way or another

not confirmed but very hinted at from the get go, I don't think marketing realizes how important a icon actually is and it seems like we are getting one this year. Hopefully it's the propmaster but i'm down for jack again

Your key line here is, "I don't think marketing realizes". That statement alone is enough to make me think there will not be an icon this year. Also, it was hinted at from the beginning, but we have not heard a whisper about it since, which is not promising. That and the fact that everything SEEMS to have changed since what was hinted at from the get go (TWD, anyone?).
That being said, I would LIKE an icon, but I am not EXPECTING an icon.

good points but i'm expecting one, it's weird because it could go both ways but if universal already started making street experiences (hinted in the podcast while back)then it seems they might roll with it especially if the event is tied around it. Imagine having reflections of fear but having it advertised as evil takes root. Same kind of deal

No merchandise, no real presence in advertising, *maybe* involvement in a house. Maybe.

That's what I'm expecting, possibly a stupid tie in to all the houses aswell like Lady Luck especially if they go with the prop master theme. BTW I'm terrified if the roaming hoardes return for all the wrong reasons. Biggest case of if it ain't broke don't fix it I've ever seen

I'm guessing this will be the case. Can't have a repeat of HHN 22. Completely directionless.

Last year was more of the same but atleast there were 4 solid IPs to get behind.

With the Terra Queen possibly returning due to in story-wise, She would return possibly during 25 for more

Sacrifices. Sure, location would possibly change but there was that rumor so we'll see of that. After all,

Horror would Come home but it would have to make something Legendary Truth investigate..

I'd like to see the terra queen return because she was totally badass. I think the cool thing about the legendary truth is that you could really put it anywhere and it wouldn't matter. Have them find a portal into terra cruentas or find a abandoned carnival. It would work in pretty much any theme

Yeah the story teller took her place and dude...I'll give her this she was scary in the commercial but everywhere else she sucked, the terra queen should've been the icon but alas, creepy old ladies are more marketable

Yes, sexy dark queens have no marketability haha...If you follow Dr. Jimmy (Dockimo??) on Youtube...he has a series he did on all of the HHN's in the past..he explains what happened with the change...I believe it has to do with the movie Dead Silence, but I'm not sure

Yeah it does!!!! I love Jimmy's videos they are insanely informative and fun to watch, the dude is a total ham. His cryptic performances kill me everytime

But yeah it was a weird horror fad that's died pretty fast. Old ladies are terrifying and if universal made a better backstory to the storyteller she'd be Bloody Mary in terms of a unforgettable icon, too bad all I know about her is that she lives in the country and has a thing for tounges
