What exactly have I complained about? I brought up the Caretaker (Scream House), voting for a scare zone, and Dr. Who. Two of those things have already taken place at some point (1 of them should appear this year in some capacity) and Dr. Who is just an ip I (along with many) want to see. I thought it was amusing that we are probably getting a Scream house when there was an icon house called Scream House. What's the big deal about bringing it up (especially since this is an anniversary year)? Just because you may have a direct contact that gives you information that is 100% accurate, that doesn't mean everyone else does.
I realize the list is pretty accurate, I'm not sure why you think I'm doubting it. How am I mocking anyone? All I'm saying is that until there is an official announcement, there is a chance it could change a little. Furthermore, there are houses on the list like the Anniversary type house which no one knows exactly what it will really be called and what will be in it. I like asking questions because I enjoy hearing the thoughts of other people who care about HHN like I do. Recently this thread hasn't exactly been booming with posts, I believe asking questions gets people talking more than doing nothing.
Bingo... Yeah.... Because nothing screams horror like Alice in Wonderland right?
You keep complaining that we're shooting down your ideas as "not gonna happen" this year. Because they aren't. You're objecting to something that isn't really debatable. You presented that you were "holding out hope" that Scream would really be "Screamhouse," even going so far as to say the list didn't necessarily specify that we'd be getting the Scream the IP (even though it did), it could've meant a Scream house. You also kept insisting there'd be a twist after that poorly worded social post when there wasn't. If that isn't twisting words, I don't know what is.
Again, the issue is you presenting your wishful thinking as legitimate speculation. It's not a problem to introduce something ("hey, you think we'll get a Screamhouse sequel this year?"), it's another to keep insisting it could happen when you're told that it isn't happening.
I know some people who know some people who confirm things, and it tends to be stuff that has already been publicly released (ala the leaked lists). When I (and others) give comments to stuff like this, it's because we're trying to help. If you want to continue to play with unrealistic expectations, be my guest, I guess.
You keep questioning the list. You've done it repeatedly, both for the houses and the zones. That's why I think you're doubting it. And you're implying that those who are trusting the list (and have reason to trust it) shouldn't because "things change." Of course they can change. AWIL got cut with months to go for Silent Hill. Stuff happens. But as of now, this is the list, and it's what we should trust. If you were talking about the potential content of the Anniversary house (ala will it be icon-focused? A combination of houses from the past?), then that'd be great, and you'd see no complaints from me. It's this "what if we got a Screamhouse for HHN25!" talk that is unrealistic.
Alice in Wonderland is public domain and is popular fodder for haunted attractions, mostly because the material is so inherently bizarre already. Presenting a well-known work with a "scary" twist is a horror staple (after all, we have Scary Tales). Doctor Who is a specific, non-horror IP that people don't immediately associate with horror. It also, as of this year, isn't going to happen.
