It just seemed the logical progression based on USO using Mardi Gras to test food truck stuff and then bringing some to HHN. But then Mardi Gras stopped with the lanyards so seems unlikely. IMO it would cut down on the lines at the booths significantly

I could see that. I think the teasing in the store relates to the NY scare zone.

So with Frequent Fear potentially being dropped alongside The Weeknd, that means we just need the announcement revealing everything else in early August. And what better day to do it than August 2nd, which will be exactly 31 days away from opening night?

After looking at the latest aerial photo of the speculated bug house, the new trusses look like they could hold a projection screen similar to how the Slaughter Sinema entrance was. This along with Legacy’s hint he posted a while back about slaughter sinema and The Fly, it makes me wonder if we will be getting another B flick type house with a trailer playing out front.

If true, this would make it the 2nd year it has been given the axe. First time was in 2012 when Transformers was fast-tracked for the SS44 location.

10 years ago... however, we got the Dead Exposure style Universal's House of Horrors as the last minute replacement & it was by far one of the best that year.

I don’t believe that yet, I can’t imagine why they would do that so late in the game for an original, there’s no rights issues to fall through and make them not be able to.

I mean I guess, but I think that would be weird to do at this point so close to the event. Like months ago that would be perfectly fine, but I just don’t see it this close. Unless you absolutely have to, the lineup should be set by now. If something worked out with an IP just save it for next year at this point.
