Big picture frames would have been an easy addition this year, and completely usable in future years. But alas...we're still rolling with the Walking Dead chain link fences.

Indeed.

Posters are in place. The medallion should be up by tomorrow.

Honestly looking at the posters the chain link fences actually do mostly fit the vibes of these IPs when taken in isolation. Post-apocalyptic, abandoned urban and exurban spaces, wrestling, chain link fence kind of fits all of them. I'd love to have seen the gothic conservatory theme make it to the arch too but it is kind of out of step with the IP selection this year.

Maybe the medallion will be something more fitting with the theme.

So the medallion didn't go up with the posters? I feel like in years past it's been the opposite lol

I say this every year, but I really wish they invest in a arch decorations for future years. Something that's reusable each year and traditionally Halloween each year.

I honestly don't mind the walking dead fences I actual like them a lot. they to me just represent hhn as much as the hhn sign in the metal gates by minions now.
but I wish they added more stuff in between. in between the posters,
I wish there was roots or spike fences between the signs, connecting them.
or branches or something.

So is there confirmation about how much of the space is used for the tribute store? The Arcade + Sahara Traders + Irish Store + previously unknown backstage area?

It's pretty much the arcade and Sahara Traders and is very small... Personally, it's the weakest of all the tribute stores so far. They did what they could with the space, but it simply doesn't have the flow and feeling of most tribute stores IMO, and again, it's very small compared to previous years. Like, I knew it would be going into that space, but it still surprised me by how small it felt.

The construction happening because of RRR prevented them from using The Mummy extended queue, and using the Hollywood location would have likely caused problems for the Christmas Tribute Store as they would have had a very short turn around window, or at least that's the speculation. Hopefully next year will see it return to one of its former locations.

I may be biased...but wouldn't using this location for the Christmas TS make more sense? I have to think that the HHN version gets way more traffic, and warrant the larger location.

I mean, I personally don't think it makes sense to turn Sahara Traders into a Christmas store, especially with The Mummy ride emptying into it, but that's just my opinion. It works better as the HHN Tribute store for that reason alone. And like I said, the conflict with the Christmas Store is just speculation. All we really know is The Mummy extended queue wasn't available, and that they decided for some reason the forgo the Hollywood location. If you see the current discount store close in the next 2ish months, it's likely it was done because of the Christmas Tribute Store though.

It's also worth considering that park ops may actually need Mummy's extended queue during peak crowd seasons, as it's now the park's only thrilling coaster at the moment.
