They would have to very carefully work around any iconography/character design that could be associated with the movie adaptation. It would honestly be more work than it's worth trying to figure out what would be fair game, and what Disney/Fox would have an issue with them using.

I’m hearing enough IPs to think a replacement is on the table. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen.

They know they need better IPs, but they kinda knew that in the lead up to the event. It’s not a question of quantity.

The Last of Us 2 is a great start IMO. Hopefully they can get some good stuff to complement it.

If they can get 3 solid IPs, I'm good with even sticking with a 3/7 split in favor of originals.

I’ve heard five. Confidence is building on four of them. I wouldn’t categorize any of them as weak. Definitely some potential headliners.

Granted, I stand by my assessment that last year’s IPs were not actually weak. None were strong enough to singularly carry, though.

I though Insidious was unexpectedly outstanding. I did not really love TLOU, did not think it was great at all.

I’m not referring to execution at all. Designs for the houses are still (likely) getting finalized. I’m just speaking to the marketability.

Yeah. Last year’s “headliners” would be backups any other year. This year (if rumors are true and hold firm), there is at least one solid headliner.

Yes.

Again, it depends on veracity of the rumors. It’s possible TLOU2 isn’t happening. Judging the quality of things that aren’t guaranteed is a fool’s errand.

Nothing is ever an "easy" get, but this is definitely the right time to strike.

Damien Leone and David Howard Thornton are coming to our local Comic Con in February. I’ll inquire about the likelihood.. lol

Although last year in January, a FNAF cast member told me it was coming and obviously that didn’t happen.

From what I could gather, the idea was approached to Scott. He was and had been open to the idea in the past. I think he realized how much work it was going to be to properly collaborate on this project but since he was mid production on the first film at the time and god knows what else that man does, he declined until he can give it the time he needed.

Any other falling out between the two parties I am unaware of, not that it means it didn’t happen.

Oooh yeah that looks good. Perfect timing too, just a couple months before September. I liked it the first one never saw the second, but will definitely see this one. A Dead Exposure sequel would probably be better just because they will have free rein and not have to follow a script, but I will take either.

If we're getting Last of Us again, 28 seems redundant. We really don't need two zombie houses.
