Halloween Horror Nights 34 (UOR) - Speculation & Rumors

While I was verrrrry underwhelmed by 33, I feel like I've seen the "we need blood, guts, and gore to return!" comment every single year since I started going in 2009. I don't think "amount of gore" would be in my top 20 complaints from 33 tbh.

I've been begging for traditional Halloween decor in the parks in general for awhile now.

It's been discussed, but cutting the Central Park zone in favor of pumpkins in the trees, fog, lighting etc would be totally fine with me. Maybe have 2 or 3 roaming actors throughout.

I say keep Central Park, not too bad yet crowd-wise. Cut San Francisco and production central zone, put traditional decor in NY/Park Entrance/San Fran.

Last year was easily one of the more gorier years, certainly not the issue with last year's event.

I don't usually focus on the amount of gore, but I believe Universal does a good job of incorporating various horror tropes. Not everyone is bothered by gore.

Hi all! First time poster but long time lurker here! This year made my fourth year going to Horror Nights and like several, I was just a bit underwhelmed compared to previous years. With that in mind, the early rumors of heavy hitters like TLOU and Terrifier have me a little more hopeful for 34!

On the original side of things, one that I would absolutely LOVE to see next year is an original take on the Krampus legend. Have it take place in an Old World German village and maybe told in storybook fashion, something akin to Tooth Fairy. Obviously taking place in a sound stage with cold temps and falling snow. I think the HHN team could pull it off super well, with some gorgeous scenery to boot.

Um, Terrifier is in serious play for next year, and y'all are concerend there won't be enough blood and guts?

Granted, I was not able to attend this year, but from the videos I saw, there was plenty sufficient gore for the event. Y'all will be fine.

It's a fair question, but my guess is they will try to time demolition with Horror Nights season -- meaning they get it done before or after, but not during.

I don't think it's too hard to do. They can easily follow what they did with the two new sprung tents this year by creating an entry/exit path for multiple houses. You'll still be able to retain the current queue spaces with some minor shifting of access points. It's not the ideal scenario, but it's just temporary.

So exciting! Some early thoughts/interpretations (including based on existing spec/rumors):

Rocking Horse: The Last of Us Part II. There are horses in The Last of Us.

Santa Beard: Terrifier. After all, Art dresses as Santa and has the big beard in Terrifier 3.

Toys: M3GAN (could be just a solo M3GAN house, not a M3GAN/Black Phone combo). I wanted to interpret it as an advent calendar and go Friday the 13th, but toy shelf seems to point to M3GAN IMO.

Ghost: Hard to call. Could be a supernatural horror like Silent Hill, could be an undead slasher like Jason (yes, I am really rooting for F13 after those early rumors), could be Phantom of the Opera (doubtful). Other thoughts?

Bird/Lotuses: Obviously an original. Two early ideas - some kind of swamp area (given the lotuses are water flowers), and some kind of Indian-themed story (given lotuses; could do an Indian village, as they've done LatAm villages for Chupacabra and Monstruous).

Interesting that the Hollywood map suggests The Purge show will return, but the Orlando map puts unknown for the show venue. Surely it will be Nightmare Fuel again, right?

This might be a bit of a stretch but maybe the ghost is for the band GHOST. They are gearing up for a new era with a new tour and album releasing next year and it is kind of perfect for a house in all honesty!
