I came across a YouTube vlogger discussing last year's event, and at 16:37, he mentions hearing "internally" that Lady Gaga was supposed to be an IP, but that plans fell through. I’m not sure how credible he is, but it’s definitely interesting. If it’s true, and with some hopeful thinking, I wonder if they decided to hold off and feature her instead this year after her album release.

I definitely don't wish ill on the guy (having spoken to him and a couple other vloggers that do the same thing as him irl a couple times) but it's tough to take the literally absurd amounts of rumors he spits out seriously.
He just doesn't have any verifiable cred to back him or anything he says up and that makes his channel/livelihood appear all the more facetious, which is why i could understand people disliking him or thinking he's annoying.
Hate is just a strong word, imo.

Who is Kim Dracula? I'm sorry, they just aren't really prominent enough to warrant inclusion as a Horror Nights headliner.

Gaga... yeah, in the right set of circumstances, I could see it.

I do agree Kim is too niche even if it would be a good fit.

So had to go to ITunes to check Kim Dracula. Kinda a bad Marilyn Manson and the music was awful. Would not be beneficial to HHN at all. At this time Gaga would probably be the best fit and with a new album would make sense.

No horse in the race (yeehaw) but I really try to go out of my way to never disparage someone's music recommendation. Art is so tied to emotions that even if something isn't appealing personally, you never know how important it can be to someone else. Not calling you out specifically, but just food for thought as we discuss musicians

First house announcement (IP) - March

Second house announcement (IP) - April

Original houses all get annouced throughout a week like last year - May

Two IP house announcements - June

Final IP(s?) announcement and FFPs go on sale - July

Then maybe the original houses all get annouced in April? That would be awesome. I know that's a possibility they won't do that again, but it was such a success last year. I don't see why they wouldn't want to do it again

Even if we assume all of that is true, having Lady Gaga or Billie Eilish on the marquee is meant to sell tickets because they have an extremely broad appeal in a way that is quite rare these days. With all due respect to Kim Dracula, their popularity is absolutely microscopic in comparison.

maybe Kim Dracula is not radio famous or Superbowl famous but is definitely really big online. and it hits directly to that younger tiktok crowds.
as far as personal taste I just want an iron maiden or slipknot house ( or a GHOST house) , Kim Dracula is not even my favorite artist, but I was just thinking of a possible artist that would fit with the horror element and be popular with younger guests. Kim might be a little niche but it was a possibility.

yeah I was only saying If gaga doesn't work, only if it can't be done, and since things didn't work out with Billie eilish, we already had the weekend, and universal can't use stuff like Manson ,
Kim Dracula was just one possibility that would be horror and modern.

That’s fair, I didn’t know anything about the guy. Never even heard of him. Disappointed to hear he’s not trustworthy I was hoping it was true lol
