This is a speculation and rumor thread~ regardless if it has been confirmed or not is still making it worth talking.

With large demographics for the majority of the lineup, be if it's the WWE's, FNAF's, Fallout's (especially with the TV show numbers and the upcoming season in december) and Terrifier's; you are going to be having multiple notable IP's in total. Two of which will bring the equivalent of American Horror Story (FNAF) and Fallout (Stranger Things) with mass GP appeal. Being prepared for any and all situations where you are going to frequently sell out makes a lot of sense.

I'd even wager WWE as-well; but that's dependent on whether or not it's just the Wyatt Sicks for how far that'll go (and even then it still brings WWE to the table).

I hope they don’t get rid of it… I missed out last year by 10 minutes and it kinda really hurt the experience for me. I am not a local so the 3 weekends that I can fly out I really don’t wanna spend the whole time waiting in line.

Even being one who normally has gotten RoF with Express, I wouldn't be mad if they took away that option. I've done nights without express with no issues, I can do it again for the nights I don't purchase Express.

And honestly, this would be the perfect year for them to make this decision. A year with multiple heavy hitters that could bring in big crowds and lines for said heavy hitters, that makes Express an incredibly easy sell. And if they're able to control it nicely, that can provide a better experience and make Express even more valuable.

After all, year after year we've been seeing accounts of Express being on the wonky side. Sometimes it's a case where the Express line is longer than standby, other times it's an Express line moving glacier slow than others. Granted, some of this stuff happens opening weekend and gets ironed out the next week, but being able to really limit the number of Express each night can always help with preventing issues like that popping up.

It's a spec thread. Nothing has been confirmed, that doesn't mean we don't discuss it.

Otherwise, this thread wouldn't be 159 pages and counting (plus we'd collectively lose our minds even more than we already are)!

Has anyone heard anything rumor wise about Premium Scream night/when it may be? I know there was the slight "announcement" with regards to hotel dedicated line to get into the event but do we expect it actually happen again? Do we think it be before the official event start of during the event?

Yeah… I guess Universal’s marketing strategy really needs to shift.
HHN’s growth has been caused by a huge number of factors in which specific marketing campaigns play a relatively minor role. This is also largely true of the campaigns fans love, although building a loyal fan base as those campaigns did is still valuable even if the fans tend to overestimate their importance. It would be interesting to do a detailed analysis of the events increasing attendance, but we’d need a lot of data we probably can’t get.

Besides, we can all name a lot of very successful products that have had utterly terrible ad campaigns somewhere in there history.

Yeah I'm on board with canning Express for multi night tickets. I get it's fun, but it's been an absolute steal for locals for a long time.

It's great if you're able to do it, but there's no reason anyone needs to go to HHN 30 times in one season with an Express pass.

(I say this as someone who has several friends who live in Orlando and do this every year)

"Only good reviews, yes~?"

I do understand though that if they do this, which I think happens; it's going to cause a dropoff of people willing to make that kind of a commitment for multi-nights. If because of the true luxury that it does have. But considering the lineup as a whole; it feels like a complete no brainer.

In all likelihood, that's a corporate park buyout or other private event not involving HHN. That's why HHN is rescheduled for Tuesday that week.

If you’re going to host an event large enough to have sufficient attendees to be able to buy out a theme park you’re going to have that event at OCCC. The South Cleveland Beadmaking and Chartered Accountancy trade group at the Orlando Days Inn Ballroom ain’t renting out Universal.

But there aren’t any events listed on the OCCC website for that week.

I hope we get clarity but I assume it's all hands on Epic and HHN is what it is this year.

Operations and HHN budget will feel it this year too. Epic rightfully cannibalized a lot of the veteran tech/entertainment talent from its sister parks. My hope is that they get savvy with the money they have.

In a marketing sense, yes, but just like last year, I think we're getting a mishmash of "icons" again.

I mean, what more would you want to see in the runup to announcements?
The days of the cryptic HHN websites with their ARGs and flash games are unfortunately dead and buried and they aren't coming back.
Honestly, the flash games would be bare minimum. It takes so little effort nowadays for a 6th grader to put those together, with the technology we have now. Universal used to play with its fans and now it's a few commercials and that's it. Do they work? Sure. Do they even need those? Probably not. But that's not the point. The playful engagement has been whittled down to a snarky Twitter team and some C-list actors in a TV spot. It's uninspiring and less engaging than what it used to be, especially during a time when cosplay and fan engagement is at an all time high. If they went back to the days before 2011, I guarantee the GP would eat it up. Would it drive more ticket sales? Probably not, but it at least shows some spunk and playfulness.

I’ve said this multiple times before, but it’s not just locals who get the FFP with Express to go 30 times. My group of three spends thousands of dollars each on hotel rooms, airfare, food, and merchandise to come to the event for 5 nights (8 total nights with non HHN days). It’s just cheaper to buy the FFP. If they do away with it, and have no other alternative, we may very well stop coming and not spend said thousands. As I’ve said before, I’d personally 1) love a 4 or 5 night package with Express; and 2) have no problem registering for the 5 nights we know we’d be going.

That's not at all true. Universal has accommodated many companies/organizations and even private individuals who have bought out the park or sections of the park for their events. Those are the days you'll usually see the park close early with little notice.

After all, if a company wants to entertain employees to mark a milestone company event, Universal makes a lot more sense for a fun event than the OCCC.

My friends and I have always “joked” … why can’t any of OUR companies buy out the park. :)
