Even though I’m not a big fan of the name “Jason Universe”, I’m very excited to finally see one of my favourite slashers at the event.

I don't really get the point you're making here? It's just Funko Pops?

That's literally just for Funko Pops coming in Winter, zero relation to HHN.

You're generalizing the "concept" & thinking too literally about the "IP" itself.

Behind all the nonsense that is wrestling, there is stories & lore built up. A lot of it is stupid soap opera "drama", but there is actual horror related concepts associated with specific wrestlers. Undertaker being the most notable (who had a house at HHN Hollywood in 2000).

It may not be my first choice as a random IP for HHN, but at least they're thinking outside the box

Long story short, there are wrestlers who go in a supernatural/horror direction, and that's whom the house is gonna' be focused on.

Some thinking we might see a week of original announcements leading up to Spooky, rather than how it was last year.

It's always fascinated me when people look down on things other people enjoy, in any manner.

This is especially ultra-ironic considering it's being posted on, y'know, a forum for theme park discussions.

As a WWE fan (I lapse and return, currently watch a lot of it), I think all of us over the age of 12 feel dumb about it on some level. We happily refer to ourselves as "marks," which is old carny slang for a sucker or a rube. But we watch it because it's mindless escapism aimed at our basest instincts, not in spite of that fact.

But yeah, there's a level of self-aware irony in that fandom that is clearly lacking in the theme park fandom (which I am also obviously a member of).

Just trying to think of a new way to explain this to non-fans -- think of this house as something based on the cut scenes, not the video game itself. Because a house based solely on lurking and shooting mushroom zombies* wouldn't really work. But there's a really cool storyline to base a house on in between gameplay.

* - I assume that's what the game is. I don't know how you'd play through a conversation with your psychiatrist, for instance.

I consider myself to be a wrestling fan; albeit one somewhat pretty removed from the current product because I just don't have the time or energy to watch 8+ hours of WWE content a week, let alone other companies, but I do keep up with the going-ons through second hand channels like Twitter and YouTube, and I'd never feel dumb about it in any way. If you enjoy watching it and it's not actively trying to change you into a lesser or malevolent human being nor does it cause you to interject in someone else's life, enjoy all you want!

I enjoy some of the dumbest things from an artistic standpoint. I also enjoy somethings that most would probably say is 'high art'.

Life is far too fleeting to get caught up in any of that, IMO. Enjoy what you enjoy, let others enjoy what they enjoy and let's try to make our infinitely tiny time of this floating rock as enjoyable as we can for everyone.

I do think there's an appreciable difference between thinking [insert art here] sucks and thinking person who likes [insert art here] sucks for liking it. Thinking something sucks is, at least in part, what makes the stuff you love so meaningful. Thinking someone sucks for liking something, well, sucks.

Unless you're an Arsenal fan, of course. Then it's fair game.*

*This is a joke^

Y’all what if the Orlando House is Toyz from Hollywood? But instead the z it’s toys.

Toymaker making a comeback?
With a redesign?
