I would honestly prefer a Jack show, even better if it was Jack and Oddfellow. The one at HHN 25 was a fan favorite for good reason. Oh well, guess at least skipping this will give me more time for the houses.
Oddfellow would've been cool, but I just find Jack generic and, at times, annoying.* The vibe of his past stage show, while I didn't get to experience it
in person, was just not exciting to me.
And while I know this isn't the same because it's super scaled down, I saw his stage show at Horror Unleashed and it was just goofy (in an unintentional way). So even scaling it up to what I've seen in recordings from past HHN, it's just not my cup of tea. Different strokes for different folks though! I'm just
personally very excited to see what they do with this vampire version of Nightmare Fuel, especially if it's going to be sans Fuel Girls, because that also might change things up a good bit.
*edit to add a funny lil backstory on what may have contributed to my distaste for Jack. 2021 was my second HHN and I made the mistake of posting in the HHN Facebook that I was going that night. Someone commented on my post saying, "Tell Jack [name I forget] says hi!" and I just was like, weird, but ok, and replied with some generic, "Haha ok!" Fast forward to that night at HHN, my husband and I are doing houses and having a great time and this girl is DMing me asking if I told Jack she said hi yet. I told her I haven't seen him yet (not a lie, but also, chill lol). She proceeded to check in with me SEVERAL times throughout the night. So now, I associate Jack with crazy obsessed people who would love to harass a scareactor lol
