I haven't been there in the last 2 years, so I'm only repeating what I was told, but the people I spoke with seemed to have a good time last year. It seems a lot of the crowding issues came into play because torrential rain at the beginning of the night meant everyone rushed into the same areas at once when it cleared up.
They also said food lines were long but moved quickly, though some did say they ran out of certain dishes. So it’s tough to say how much of last year's issues were on Universal vs just the circumstances of the night.
They made it right this year, though, and offered a discount to returning guests. I have a hard time seeing how they're about to make the same mistake again when they've already admitted it.
