This year they’re all pretty on the nose. The only stretch (at this point) is Cybergoria.

SS24B - Madlands (Train) - You train animals (the zoo)

SS23A - Evil Dead Burns (Car) - Opening car crash

SS23B - Stranger Things (Bus) - Eleven jumping the bus during her training

SS22 - Jack and Oddfellow (Balloon) - Clowns

F&F - Cybergoria (Helicopter) - No clue

Tent 4 - Hellraiser (Tractor) - Tractor pins

Tent 3 - Sinners (Hearse) - A group hears music.

Tent 2 - Bloodengutz (Wagon) - (Television station) wagon

Tent 1 - Invasion (Shuttle) - Space shuttle (aliens)

I went back to my original Bluesky thread back in November. I correctly guessed the location for Stranger Things, connected clowns to Balloons, knew Shuttle connected to space, identified “station wagon” as a possibility (I should have known, since the “Carey TV compilation rumor actually came out last year), somehow guessed Hearse was a period house, and guessed Tractor was a movie-based IP.

This year feels intentionally accessible.

i have a friend who hasn’t gotten single night tickets yet, should they be worried for the first wed and Thursday of sept. selling out before next week. I doubt it, but I figure I’d ask.

Yeah that happened yesterday actually. Saw people post about it on Twitter. It’s a bummer for me becuase I was hoping to go opening night but I still didn’t buy my FFP yet so guess I’m not now.

Thought of that, but I DM’ed Universal on Twitter to ask to make sure it’d work and they told me it wouldn’t. They said the date I’m there with single day ticket would have to be available as the start date on an FFP still to upgrade so since it’s not I couldn’t do that. Idk for sure if that’s right but I’d hate to buy a single day ticket and then they don’t let me do that when I’m there and I’d just have to out right buy a pass from scratch.

I’ve accepted it. Normally my family does a whole weekend out of opening weekend with hotel and all and then I go bunch of other days throughout the event as well. We’re gonna buy it tonight and I hope to at least get Saturday the 29th as my start date and go then and my family is going to pivot to doing weekend trip the following weekend which at least positive is that it’s Labor Day weekend so we’re all off Monday.

I hope people realize that is not my intent at all. Codenames are intentionally a puzzle that requires slightly abstract, lateral thinking. It’s about brainstorming ALL the possibilities and then narrowing those down to the more viable. I view that as a skill that can be practiced. Pointing out those connections can help demonstrate how thinking can expand.

Someone on Reddit just claimed they were told the tour info over the phone (Guest Services received notice this morning):

3 houses: Hellraiser, HR Bloodengutz, Invasion Alien Abduction

6 houses: Stranger Things 5, Sinners, Ozzy, Evil Dead Burn, Jack & Oddfellow, and Madlands Caged Cannibals

So if this is true, Cybergoria is the non-tour house.

Had a feeling Cybergoria would be left off the tour. At least I got that prediction right lol

Hellraiser being on the 3-house tour is such a massive W. May actually book that tour this year!
