Have the clues for the year ever connected to the icon?

I hope they give Ozzy a house this year with the train and hearse clue I’m crossing my fingers.
This month I saw NiN on tour and the show was fantastic. I don’t see any clues this year but I haven’t really researched it in depth . All I know is this house would be strobe heavy , LOL.

The only year I've missed since 2016 was 2021 - and that year, at least from the outside, seemed to be full of things that you'd really only enjoy if you had done the previous houses. (SCarey, Legendary Truth, Lights Camera Hacktion, etc).

I'm hoping that isn't the case here - but I'll be sure to do a ton of research and prep if we do happen to get HR Bloodengutz and Havoc lol

If the current rumors hold true, I don't really think that will be the case outside of maybe a potential Jack/Oddfellow house. If we're getting Bloodengutz, I don't think the story and lore will be too complex, as the concept of the original house was relatively straightforward to understand. Based on current discussions, it also seems like the pawprint might be an original concept that isn't a sequel to anything.

H.R. Bloodengutz is very easy to understand, the 2011 house was essentially Slaughter Sinema but with a Horror Host framing. And if a new house is akin to that, then just like Slaughter Sinema it'll be a whole new batch of films/shows, so a deep dive into lore isn't required.

As for Havoc, even less so. The "Dogs of War" are super soldiers which were made in Shadow Creek labs. That's pretty much it. Personally, I hope it's not Havoc as it's not my kind of theme/antagonist etc.

The Havoc spec that has come up is interesting. If memory serves, Derailed (the Havoc sequel from 2013) was not all that well received. Could be wrong, and that doesn’t rule out them giving it another go anyway. But it sort of feels like an out-of-nowhere sequel to spin up when so many other titles from the last ~10 years feel ripe for a revisit.

Just saw NIN last week! Definitely enough imagery and spooky music there for a house/zone like Zombie a few years back.

That was my initial thought too, but with the hint on the map I think Bzzzcon Makeup makes more sense. Vanity Ball was more about plastic surgery too. What really sold me was the toxic symbol itself on the makeup.

I've actually been thinking this is where the Gaga rumor came from as well

If you heard rumors that there's-
1. A house based around a musician but the artist is unknown
2. A house based around make-up that turns people into monsters

And you assume both rumors are for the same house, there's one answer for a perfect fit

This is definitely a wildcard, but what If the “BALLOON” (SS 22) location is KKFOS?

The codename could be a reference to that iconic “Balloon dog” scene from the film. The “Jack in the box” icon is also located on the Hollywood map, and both Orlando and Hollywood often share each other’s I.P’s, but Never Originals. Plus, I heard a few cast members tell me there were a lot of guests wanting to see KKFOS return in the surveys (I am not kidding, I double checked). If you look closely at the “elf” guy next to the jack in the box, he has the Klown’s ears. The icon is also located at SS 22. It all fits when you think about it. I either might be on to something, or just completely losing my mind. lol.

Sorry for the deviation from Spec talk, but I was thinking about the merch for this year. I hope they do shirts and hoodies like this again. Let some artists come up with some cool unique designs for the front or back and then have a popping HHN graphic/text on the opposite side. Merch has gotten a bit too formulaic and with this being an anniversary year they can use it to really revamp the offerings.
P.S. this was found scrolling Ebay and its true vintage. Seller wants $245 lol

Agreed, it's really hard to believe Gaga is going to be the "Theme inspiration" for several reasons.

1. Folks from HHN have already stated this is an Anniversary Year.

2. As with Anniversary years, that generally means the return of Jack.

3. Not only Jack is rumored to be back, but in both Orlando and Hollywood.

Like it or not, Jack is the event's Golden Goose. With all the above mentioned, Jack is gonna' be a major focus. So why on earth would they have the theme inspiration for the event be something not related to Jack and/or take away the attention from him? The math ain't mathing, here.

I think this is a good theory. The one hesitation I had was that the Gaga icon shows up on both spec maps, and I presume that a Vanity Ball original would just be in Orlando. That said, I guess it's always possible we are getting a Vanity Ball original in Orlando, the assumption that it was Gaga led to another assumption that it was bicoastal, and there is really another IP that we're not talking about yet that will take that spot on both coasts!

I look at Sprung 1, and while I think the immediate thought of Vanity Ball is not a bad thing (as for why some people thought of that, it was noted early on HHN365)...

I wonder if they could be looking at doing their own crack, at honestly ***THE SUBSTANCE*** over that of Vanity Ball. Orlando taking ideas and concepts from other forms of media isn't exactly uncommon for them, and I can see the idea of makeup augmentation and transformation being an interesting idea of a Sprung house.

The ability to "Become your old self" for a cost would be a great story if applied in a way that made sense with HHN's lore and background.

It's not outside the realm of possibility that Orlando would lend an original to share with Hollywood, but in this period of unknown I personally lean towards it being an IP that we haven't cracked yet. Maybe dancing isn't literal and we need to look at it from a different perspective. I'lll be wasting time all day pondering lol
