ETA: fwiw, February 2025 map had 8.5 out of 10 house concepts (we can debate how accurate "Afterlife: City of Spirits" was), May 2025 map was 10/10. March 2024 map was cryptic but fairly could be said to have 5 out of 10 houses. Ironically the April 2024 map dropped down to just 3 accurate houses.

Personal conjecture/observations in regards to the community--I've been led to believe that HoH had assistance from someone in particular that got caught in hot water for certain things that happened last year in the terms of leaks and rumors. Additionally--in regards to what HoH posted, others like Pinhead from r/HHN have also casted shade to TCM being a thing as a house.

I would hesitate more properly when it comes to HoH.

My thoughts on the HoH map.

The “Invasion of Lightning Gulch” is a verbatim suggestion I made in one of the Discord servers.



There is no intimation (from what I’ve heard) that Pumpkin Lord is returning—let alone getting a house.

Vanity Ball is not rumored as a zone. It’s implied connection to a Buzzcon house is speculation based on a theory tied to makeup (Train is a type of makeup case). It makes sense that someone misinterpreted that speculation as rumor and believes it’s returning in some capacity because of it.

The shows are still largely speculative. There is no reason to believe the Fuel Girls are returning, however (which is where the “Fuel” in Nightmare Fuel came from). So listing “Nightmare Fuel” is extremely presumptuous.

And I’ve heard the TCM rumor, but no one I fully trust has confirmed it; They outright refuted it.

And on topic of Ghost Town: Invasion of Lightning Gultch, it seems like at least a couple houses might be going for them bringing together several originals in some way, especially since you've mused what if H.R. Bloodengutz hosted R.U.N. .

And while it may not be a mash up, I could see the Human-Animal hybrid rumor being titled Evilution in some fashion.

I fully accept the Ghost Town/Invasion mashup if it happens. I never got to do any of the Ghost Town houses. Invasion is one of my all time favourite scarezones

I really love this idea, and I've been wondering if it could end up happening. I think it would be a great way to go much further with this year than 30 did as an anniversary year while not alienating newer fans too much

Did anybody see the new spec map that is going around this morning by hallowed out horror? Hellraiser isn't on it and Texas chainsaw showed up. Any traction to this rumor? I normally don't give this guy much attention but some of his artwork looks very specific.

Sometimes that's just the way things shake out, and they've done themes like post-apocalyptic settings in back-to-back years with 2022's Descendants of Destruction and 2023's The Last of Us...and a lot of folks felt DoD was pretty much the closest we were getting to a TLoU house at that time!

Well, its a bit different when you're moving from an original to an IP. When DoD was created, they probably didn't know they would be able to secure TLoU the following year. With originals, they have a lot more autonomy over what themes and settings they want to tackle.

I think you should read the posts following that initial one which show that you should probably take things with a grain of salt.

Well, its a bit different when you're moving from an original to an IP. When DoD was created, they probably didn't know they would be able to secure TLoU the following year. With originals, they have a lot more autonomy over what themes and settings they want to tackle.

As I said before, sometimes that just how it shakes out. It's an anniversary year and from the sounds of the rumors they wanna' bring back some fan-favorite themes etc. Ghost Town is absolutely one of them, and any western theme can be used to also incorporate a Sci-Fi/Aliens theme.

Hatchet and Chains being used before could very well be just coincidental, but on the other hand...it can help provide some various set pieces etc. for them to reuse which they have done before. (The Attack of the Swamp Yeti scene being reused in 2019's Yeti: Terror of the Yukon, and the mirror room from 2018's Scary Tales: DEA being reused much better in 2019's Universal Monsters for the Phantom scene.)

I still have a feeling that if the aliens concept is true, it takes place at a farm and not in the old west. I could see props and decor being used from Hatchet that might make the house be seen like a western on the outside, but I don’t know. It seems fishy, especially if it’s in a sprung again.

I mean it is speculation. Here’s to hoping it comes true. Also, I do not buy one bit that Hellraiser got dropped for TCM, it’s not THAT fragile of an I.P.
