While there are some houses that I'd love to go through again - like Legacy said, I think it's something that sounds a lot better on paper vs in practice.

Ok, I am just gonna throw in a wild card at the “caged animal” icon house, so hear me out.
What if it’s “Scary Tales: Big Bad Wolves”? The “paw” symbol on the cage could reference the iconic HHN Bear, and a lot of the “Wolf” centered fairy tale stories involve them “eating people.” Perhaps maybe we are looking at Goblin’s Feast (werewolf edition)? It seems unlikely I know, but it’s a possibility…

Also, I MIGHT have given one of the RIP tour guides my idea for that Scary Tales wolf house. My bad. I bring this up because in my backstory, a boy comes across a hairy withered old man in a cage. The caged man is later revealed to be the great wolf tricking the boy into releasing him.

This is more your own idea than speculation. You're welcome to discuss this in more detail in this thread here --

Seems like we have a lot of creative minds so we decided to expand on the "House idea" thread.

Post your idea of your very own Halloween Horror Nights theme.

Describe if it will have an icon, the overall theme, houses, scarezones and their locations, and any backstories you have come up with.

So get thinking!

I am aware of that. I just wanted to throw my 2 cents out there.

And I am letting you know that there is a distinct difference between offering your personal idea for a Horror Nights house and grounded speculation. There's nothing wrong with sharing your own ideas, but it needs to be done in the appropriate place -- and not presented as a legitimate possibility.

Random question, if they are from a Planet Hell, would they be cannibals if they were eating humans? Or are they just here eating their own species? Or am I just thinking about this too much?

Do we think we might get an Evil Dead Burn announcement to coincide with when the trailer officially lands? I’m also dying to see the Resident Evil trailer.

I do think the Wolf part is correct

There have been rumors that the cage house is related to Havoc. On the image there's a "Wolf" Man eating a human. I think it's going to be an evolved/advanced form of the supersoldier serum, making them literal "Dogs of War"

It solves one the biggest problem with having a Havoc House - having scareactors willing to completely shave their heads. Both culture and casting have changed for the event making this more difficult. It also allows the reuse of the Devil Dogs masks and various werewolf/wolfman costumes.

Lastly, Universal has mostly moved away from the use of modern firearms in their houses - having an evolved, more feral version of the Dogs of War enhances the physical aggression and scare factor while removing the need for something like an assault rifle.

Plot twist: going off the original idea that Amazon Cannibals from Planet Hell in Slaughter Sinema’s storyline: what if T1 and T2 were parts 1 and 2 of the same overall house theme:

T1 featuring the astronauts that get lost in space and crash land into T2 where they encounter the cannibals from Planet Hell.

I’m being facetious. But that concept would be kinda cool imo.

I don't think this rumored house has anything to with Havok. Every year, it's pretty common for people to link symbols on the spec map to previous houses, even though most originals we get aren't sequels. It's not uncommon for some to hold onto the early ideas from spec, even if new rumors go against them.

What you're describing here is probably far enough removed from Havoc that it should probably be its own thing. While Havoc is remembered fondly by some, I don't necessarily think it's iconic enough that most would recognize it if it came back, especially in such a different form.

I seem to notice that too when going into speculation season (I myself am guilty of that). Although I do think we might be on to something with that sprung tent house being some sort of “wolf” themed haunt, regardless if it’s a sequel or a brand new original entirely.

One quick thing here -- Havoc didn't really involve scare actors wielding guns much, if at all. The conceit was the super soldiers were so powerful that they could rip through fully armed soldiers in a locked down military base. I do agree Havoc presents other practical challenges regarding the shaved heads, though, so that could absolutely be a motivating factor in evolving the concept (if that's what's happening here, and I'm not sure it is).

The original Havoc featured one gun scare. That’s it.

I may be misremembering given that it was 16 years ago (gulp), but wasn't it like an armored, non-Havoc'd soldier coming around the corner to try to confront the chaos?

Yep. It was a weirdly slight, unassuming scare because it was predominantly behind guests. Structurally, guests were running away from the gunfire. You had to turn around to get a truly decent look at it.

Genuinely asking, as I hadn't really put any thought into this before now: Is there any actual truth to this?

From what I recall, didn't Joel have a pistol in TLOU (2023), A Quiet Place (2024) have a shotgun, a shotgun in Fallout (2025), and an Art projection shooting a gun in Terrifier (2025)?

I always understood it as, they no longer want to have actors aiming guns directly at the guests.

There are fewer guns than there used to be, and the way guns are used has changed. Twenty (shoot, fifteen) years ago, pointing guns *at* guests was fairly normal. Now, they try to carefully choreograph any gun use to not directly cross the guests path. Guns point either parallel to guest movement or are aimed high enough above guests’ head it’s apparent guests are not the target.

Really. Pay attention to it.

This makes way more sense. I believe Fallout and AQP were both shots in the air. Appreciate the clarification!

Just to give a specific example, in 2008's Creatures!, there was a redneck who popped out of an open doorway in the first big room with a shotgun. The trigger was it firing and reloading. Whenever I went through, the actor aimed straight at guests like clockwork. (There were no titular creatures to shoot at, at least in here.)
