My hunch is that we're all severely overthinking this

I had no clue. But in all seriousness, my point was more referring towards Universals operational / marketing shortcomings when launching new ticketed offerings etc.

You're tiling at windmills. There is no new ticket product anyway!

Just so I understand: They've made no change to the Scream Early ticket, but they will now open at least three houses at 2 p.m. on every event night. If you already have both valid Horror Nights admission and valid park admission, you get the same benefits, including access to those 2 p.m. houses. Is that correct?

Am I crazy that I don't feel like operating 3 houses for the extra 3 hours is feasible really? Houses at the very beginning of Stay & Scream as it is currently can already be understaffed. What will the house look like from that 2-5 pm period? Are they going to have to hire a whole extra team of Scareactors? Wouldn't it make sense if they were just charging $15 extra dollars because you get into the park an hour earlier than before, which is how they're justifying the price increase? To me it makes sense that S&S is gonna be exactly the same as before, they're just putting a guarantee on how many houses are going to be open during the normal period now and you get access to the park earlier than before.

As is always the case. But ... the social media team probably should've learned by now HHN fans are going to study every word they release like the Dead Sea Scrolls. They released two somewhat contradictory posts, and when directly challenged on that, basically said, "no comment." You can't do that with this fanbase and not expect chaos.

As for what responsibility they bare for creating this monster, that's a discussion for another time.

I fear it’s going to be an operational nightmare due to communications or lack thereof. I can already see the common fan / general public visitor going and being like how many flipping tickets do I need?

I also wonder about staffing. 3 extra hours may not seem like a lot to most but after 1-2 weeks the turnover machine will begin to kick in and houses could feel strained from a staffing perspective let alone the sheer wear and tear on the staff themselves.

Completely understand that HHN is the most profitable time of the year for the resort and it’s very apparent every year they’re taking action to cash in with some new offering. I just have to wonder at what point does it become too much? From ticket types, add ons, special events, early entry, food festivals, shows, etc. I mean it’s a lot, and instead of investing in expansion they seem more focused on cashing in on all these other added expenses for the guest to “see it all”

The people who use these tickets are a uniquely obsessive theme park fanbase. I am fairly confident that by July they (we) will all know how this works, however that plays out. And gen pop still won't care.

That said, your other points feel absolutely correct.

This is my main concern about the early houses. I just remember back to an early run of the last Monsters house, and wondering if anyone was actually working or not.

Considering the success of the event over the past few years, I think it can easily justify an additional 3 hours of operations for select popular houses.

FNAF opened up at S&S with 1-2 hour waits and reached "capacity" prior to official event opening. Opening a select amount of houses (the most popular) a little earlier won't hurt anyone.

If S&S guests can be shuffled through those houses as soon as possible, they'll move to the other houses and keeps the waits lower for those waiting outside the gates.

My concern really wasn't with whether it was justified... It absolutely is. The event does need more capacity at this point it seems like and opening those houses early makes sense. My concern with feasibility was really from an operational perspective, as the houses already can be missing quite a few things and not all the way up and running in the S&S period as it is currently. I'm afraid that if they decide to open the house that early, they wont have the staff or ability to run it as it should be. I'm worried it will be like walking through the house during a cast change. This just adds a layer of complexity to it all, as I doubt they will want casts having to work a 12 hour shift. If I were betting, I would think that during the early period they would hire a third cast skeleton crew to get the house to where not everything is going, but it's just enough that it's passable. Obviously that's all reckless speculation, but it's the only way I could see this going operationally.

That’s my understanding. But like with FFP w Express last year it could change.

I've just seen comments where people think Evil Dead Burn could be a misleading rumor, especially since it was at one time rumored to be the post-apocalyptic IP that people thought had been mistaken for Resident Evil, but then it turns out the plot of Evil Dead Burn doesn't have a post-apocalyptic vibe, etc. I don't have a reason to doubt it but I have seen it and Ozzy be more questioned than the other three rumored IPs.
