Warwick Davis is back as Flitwick. So it seems they are at least willing to have some people return for a reprise.

It does underline the question Chris Columbus was asking rhetorically, though... what is the point?

I think it's cool Warwick Davis is reprising his role, he helped officially open the Harry Potter portal at Epic with the Phelps twins didn't he. So he obviously still loves the franchise, and he's a HP legend, played multiple characters in the films. Flitwick, Griphook, and someone else? I just looked it up he also played a bank teller and choir master! So 4 characters! Flitwick is in a lot of makeup anyway so I'm sure he'll be made to look different to the film version and not the same. Everyone else is going to look quite different. Saw pictures of the Weasley family filming in London the other day, they all look so good and their costumes are so 90's in the best way! Ginny and Ron are adorable and the twins look spot on.

Like insane she wrote dumbledore as this guy who takes in anyone no matter the background but can't live like him at all.

So you announce a new series that will re-tell the story with a new cast, but then you re-cast a guy to play the same character they played in the original? Like... If you're going to reboot something, then *reboot* it.

She’s entwined with the reboot though. I’m not saying we turn this into a complete JK hate thread (I would be down though) but her actions are a part of this project. The tweets I was referring were directly about the project and her attacking others for criticism. We’d be doing the same if other creators/directors were doing the same. Again, I think it’s okay to criticize and discuss the project as well.

There's plenty of places online to spread hate. I just don't think this is the place for it. I'd rather just see actual info about the series, good or bad.

Come on. People have extremely legitimate reasons to loudly dislike JKR and certainly hate her bigotry.

The series is happening whether anyone here likes it or not, but given her level of involvement and control - which is she continuously and loudly declaring - her rhetoric is fair game.

It's one thing to create a thread dedicated to her, but it's another to discuss it when it ties to the very series she's responsible for. Her opinions will follow her whenever anything Potter gets going - whether it be a TV show, a movie, or a theme park land.
