I'm definitely curious how quickly they could pull the plug on this if it doesn't get the numbers they want right away. Would they drop it after 1 season?

(I do expect it to do well like most remakes end up doing)

There’s a lot here. Essentially he’s a poltergeist that causes trouble with his mischief. He makes regular appearances throughout the series.

Peeves

Peeves was a poltergeist at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, since c. 993. Fond of mischief and chaos, he was a constant pain to the school and its inhabitants, especially Argus Filch, the caretaker, as the only ones able to control him were the Bloody Baron and Albus Dumbledore...

He is a poltergeist so like a ghost but can move things, throw things, play practical jokes etc. he generally causes trouble and mischief day-to-day which can be quite funny or annoying depending on whether the target is Harry or someone we dislike, but when Hogwarts is under threat he helps defend it.

My biggest concern is the aesthetic take on the castle and other locations we've already seen. Hogwards castle and grounds already have a look which is well defined and canonized across multiple platforms. Whatever this show looks like, it needs to be strongly familiar to keep the older generation involved. I understand that the series will have its own artistic twist on the look, but if you stray too far from what we know, the backlash will be huge.

Talk all the trash you want about the Star Wars Sequels, but at least they looked and felt like Star Wars.

is there an example of a reboot or remake that ruined the aesthetics?
the power rangers movie comes to mind. felt like they got everything wrong, the monsters, the robots, their base
