I was reading about Icons on the app and it said the throne is a exact replica from the throne in Hades form 2010!

so it really is like an indirect sequel to Horror Nights: The Hallow'd Past

even if they aren't the main thing for marketing to use. even if they aren't used heavily in posters or billboards. I wanna see new ones.

That will be nice but it's not realistic. He's the whole pumpkin set price but the actor is not. All he is is wearing a mask and a green “skirt” while sitting on a giant pumpkin set piece.

Universal has released a very nice dive into the story of the house and what exactly is going on.

Also, something rather interesting I'd like to point out, the fact that they call this a climatic reunion and briefly talk about how guests are eagerly waiting for new Icons to be announced.

EDIT: Just finished reading the article, and yup. Charles says the ending is the Lantern closing, and who knows if it'll ever be opened again.

Hopefully the popularity of this house proves that the public loves icons and that they sell a lot of merchandise, so we may get new ones in the future.

I'm a lil sad the Icons aren't friends. Like someone says in a quote retweet, I kinda saw the house as them having a party/friendly competition to pass time while imprisoned.

Pure speculation but seems like one of those low-cost, low-time add-ins to respond quickly to real-time feedback. If customer sentiment at the end of this house is that it’s confusing or irrelevant, it would make sense they’d try to add quick little fixes to change that…but is also a sign that icons really aren’t going to be a thing in the future.

I’m honestly over the icons and HHN lore for this exact reason. Rather than putting in the work to execute the story properly before opening, they throw this out last minute. Hell, they even had an extra year to create something for the queue due to the pandemic. But nah, budget blah blah blah synergy blah blah blah general public doesn’t care blah blah blah. Either do it right or move on.

I think it's less Icons won't be a thing anymore, and more these Icons won't be much of a thing in the future.

The Icons are cool, at first. But I don’t think they have enough substance to carry the event the ways the event is done nowadays (IP centric); almost out of place…
