New York has one line for AQP (5:30 opening), one line for Major Sweets (5:45 opening), and Insidious/Ghostbusters both had a combined line where they let you choose when you got to the entrance part since they both open at 5:15. I'm assuming the World Expo/Simpsons one had lines to Goblin's Feast and Eternal Bloodlines since they were the houses opening early back there.

I’ll add my question, too, for any of you going this weekend.

Simpsons was my favorite place to chill out and eat during Stay & Scream. Do they still let you go over there once you check in?

Lol, same as! Listening to the Bart-man and the Bumblebee Taco truck jingle :lmao:

“ Last name: Simpson! First name: Bart!”

And then it switches over to the metal music and everyone starts running for the houses.

Honestly, though, they had a good system over there. Being able to go from Duff Brewery to Krusty Burger while the park is getting changed over was really convenient. I’m hoping they have something similar setup when I attend next week.

For the world expo and NY stay and scream areas, are there indoor/shaded areas within the holding areas where you can just chill if you don’t want to wait in the baking sun to be front of the line for the houses that open early? Basically are Finnegans and Richter open and/or can you access Simpsons at the world expo S&S?

I did NY, got in the GB/Insidious at 3:30, was a few 100 back. When I got out all 3 NY houses had lines wrapping back to Louies. Got in line for Major Sweets instead, not too bad. AQP filled up slower because of later opening I imagine.
After MS, Goblins was 30 and Monsters 35. Definitely can't do multiple houses up front wit S&S this year so far. Triplets opening at 6.

Also week two brigade reporting in. Although maybe not entirely fair, that’s when we move back to Orlando. But also when we’ll be doing our first couple nights haha

Same, I'm also preparing for the rain with umbrella and ponchos. Since my Dad is coming along, we both have RoF w/Express, so Stay and Scream isn't fully necessary for us. Though depending on when the rain hits, it probably wouldn't hurt doing the World Expo Stay and Scream to be in close proximity to Sprung 1 and 2 just in case. I remember last year's monsoon which took those out (plus TLoU) that particular night.

What are the "homework" movies I should watch in prep for this year's Monsters house?

Are we really expecting more rain than any other particular week in Orlando? Forecast looks pretty normal.

So here's the tricky thing, the house is a sequel to 2020's/2021's Bride of Frankenstein LIVES house, which in itself is an original story that is a sequel to the Bride of Frankenstein movie. You can watch the original Bride of Frankenstein film itself as it's a classic and all. You can also watch walkthroughs of Bride of Frankenstein LIVES to see how that went. (Unless you've actually gone through it.)

But if you want something that'll fill you in on what's going on with Eternal Bloodlines, you'll wanna' listen to the Discover Universal Podcast on the house as it'll give you the whole backstory for it.

Maybe not, but when I see nothing but rain on the forecast, I'm taking precaution just in case.

Hey folks! Longtime lurker and follower here. ☺️

Question - Been going to HHN since 2010, am a local who goes to UO a lot, but this is going to be a new perspective for me. I’m bringing my Dad with me for his annual HHN run. Thing is, he has knees issues and while I don’t mind pushing him in a wheelchair, I did that last year and due to the elevation changes, uneven pavement and just that I’m of average figure but he’s definitely not, needless to say I was exhausted and had my hands hurting badly by the end of the night.

I know that ECV’s are a thing during the event just like in the daytime and I’ve seen people use them around, but what’s the process for the houses with them? I’m assuming it’s transfer to a regular chair or no? Any tips or tricks with this would be amazing since I’m going Wednesday and my hands will thank you! ☺️

I took a quick glance at the forecast for the week and got really disheartened seeing rain/storms every single day.

Then the more I looked, it seemed pretty normal lol

It should be transfer to a regular wheelchair at the house entrance and HHN staff will move your chair to the exit to re-transfer back to the ECV.

Quick question. Has anyone did the Universal Hotel entrance this year? Is it the same as last year where it's a dedicated entrance that puts you in at the same time as general admission?
