Having two Terror Trams doesn't seem unlikely at this point.

It's seems strange to put the maze on NY street, but there are photos of it for HHN. Wood walls are going up. The black tent. Wonder how they are going to transport the guests there.

Didn't they run two different trams during HHN a few years back, one was the terror tram and one was King Kong located next to Jurassic Park? So it's possible.

The studio must hate HHN in a way. Jon, you've said before that there is always tension between the park and studio, and having so much of HHN take place on the backlot and actually have crazy guests walk the backlot must get them nervous, yeah? Like, in regards to the sets, and room, etc.

I'm kinda shocked they're gonna have a maze on the NY set....talk about the theme park barging in on the studio space....NY street is such a highly used area, I'm surprised they're allowed to do this, even if it is for just a little over a month.

Well the thing is, it's located on that empty "brick wall" space on the street. It's rarely used and people can still film on NY and Metro sets without any HHN stuff showing

Ahhhh gotcha. Well then, that makes sense :) I wasn't aware of the exact location haha. In that case, let 'em go wild in that space!

There is tension, but if they found a way not to disturb filming, I'm sure the studio is fine with it. The only concern would be the neighbors, and whether the maze could break any noise curfews.

Why does the studio not like the park?

It's not fun having a tram run through every 15 minutes while you're trying to film.

What maze could possibly take place in NY Street?

Any maze can take place in a tent, it's behind the facades, not in the middle of the street. What I would like to see is have one of the streets dressed up to look apocalyptic with scare actors as zombies wandering the street as you drive through it, then the guide kicks you off to go through the maze. However, since filming is the priority, the decorations would have to be easily taken out and brought back in to accomdate any filming. I'm interested to see what happens. Walking Dead or Resident Evil, if we see either of those this year, would be a candidates to fit the area. NY street would make a good Raccoon City or double as Georgia in the case of Walking Dead. Perhaps the maze facade could be the Center for Disease Control.

Yea since Harry Potter(which will take over shrek extended que/HHN maze) construction will start some time in September. But lets not worry this years event will be the LARGEST HHN Hollywood in History!

It wouldn't surprise me if they use the old Studio Tour loading dock on the Lower Lot to bus guests over to the backlot for that second maze.

That being said, I think John Murdy himself confirmed that Shrek was out a few days back on his Twitter account, so there's nothing new there.

As BehindTheTheme mentions, Potter breaks ground in September.

I dont think we will have multiple tram entrances i believe that one tram will take you to both area in the backlot.

I wonder if that's possible. How do you think that would play out? Because I'm assuming lines would be disastrous at that point.

I have always had this thought also. but for mazes stopping on the backlot if different, its not like you get dropped off and wander its more like you get dropped and move forward or were they want you to move so the flow should be constant. Thought if what i were to say is true the main line for these 2 attractions could be disastrous.
