HHN Hollywood Speculation/News - 2016

GB is only No. 2 at the box office and is only estimated to pull in $40 mil at the very most this weekend. After that, it's going to be squashed by Star Trek, Jason Bourne, and then Suicide Squad. 


I think a Ghostbusters scare zone on the remake would not work. Not to mention all of the hate it would get. It never was planned because no one in their right mind would think it would do well.

If, and I mean if GB would ever be at Horror Nights; it would be in a controlled environment like a house, so they can fulfill the most out of the IP.

It was kidding. I didn't enjoy the movie very much would explain why it was empty...Star Trek looks awful as well if anything it'll get squashed by suicide squad and suicide squad by sausage party!!!

A house would at least be slightly better. At least they can be more faithful to the source material as there's more to work with. 


For instance, they can have a scene where all of the original fans are angrily commenting and disliking on the trailer, a scene with Chris Hemsworth saying how he's the only tolerable aspect of the movie, a scene with Patti screaming "AWWW HEEEEEEAALLLL NAAAAWWWW!!!!" and slapping the crap out of the guests, a scene with McCarthy falling on her butt while busting a ghost, and have the final scene with Rowan getting shot in the crotch with the female GBs' proton packs. (Spoiled it so you don't have to waste you money.  ). Then have the final, FINAL scene be the angry people on the Internet moaning it's not bombing as hard as they hoped. SO MUCH TO WORK WITH FOR A HOUSE!


The best part if this was a house? It'd be funnier and better than This is the End!

Honestly, it wasn't a bad movie. The 4 leads were actually the best parts in my opinion. The tone was also very much like classic Scooby Doo which certainly isn't a bad thing. Sure, there were some dumb jokes and the climax wasn't the best, but overall, I'm not understanding the hate about this movie. I get it, it's another remake and you loved the original, but it seems a lot of the criticism is aimed directly at the 4 female leads. And that's a bit disturbing to me in this day and age. 


But anyways, to bring this back around to HHN, this definitely wouldn't work as a scarezone but I'd be curious to see it as a maze if the effects budget was up there. Because those ghost designs were pretty well done. And Paul Feig's direction was pretty spot on when it came to making the movie creepy when it needed to be.

I like this post but I won't stand for any unwarranted This is the End hate. I think a GB house would be good, if it was on the original, I don't think they can do the remake, too many big effects and they can't really be captured in house form. The movie wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I laughed quite a bit, even if I don't remember what I was laughing at(I'm not even an hour removed from it), Hemsworth was the best part, its biggest problem is alol the references to the original, most of which don't work.


Jgoldner I'm not sure why you think all the criticism was aimed towards the female leads or why that would disturb you, but if you wanna see why there was a ton of hate before the movie came out, just watch the trailers and you'll see

Ghostbusters is not happening. Especially if it was like This Is The End. John already said there are to be no mazes like This Is The End this year, whether that means horror comedy or 3D and horror comedy I don't know but he wants to focus on scaring us more than making us laugh.

I have my doubts that we'll see a 3D house this year.


Even with the little scare of Krampus a few days ago; they have reused wall's in the past, so it shouldn't be much to be afraid of.

Not sure how large this scare zone will end up being (if it even happens at all), but it was a rumor passed onto me, however my source has been reliable.
