I've always thought, why is it that they only limit themselves to one show only? They have 4 perfect venues for a show as I see it. Shrek, Waterworld, Castle Theater, and Animal Actors. If they were to utilize all of those one year, it would tremendously help with capacity.

Considering Waterworld is a maze venue now, I assume they can't use the show area at night. BTW does anyone have any guesses as to how the line will work for TCM, I haven't been to uni since the maze started construction so I'm not sure how the Waterworld queue works now or if they would even use it

I feel like they could use part of that fire lane inbetween waterworld and Citywalk. As long as they leave enough space for trucks to drive through, it should be fine. Just make the queue really long and skinny back there.

All I care about Jabbawockeez is that it provides a place to suck 500 or so people in for an hour. Also Potter should provide some extra entertainment with Ollivanders/street shows. Still, I'll enjoy my entertainment at Orlando this year.

I still think Academy of Villains will be in Animal Actors, although I wonder if Universal may save that til later on in the season when it gets much busier.

The thing about this leak (if you can even call it that) is that this might just kill our maze announcement this week. We could be getting a "Krampus" Maze announcement this week but then Jabbawockeez confirmed them coming back again so it's possible that we could be getting Jabbawockeez announcement instead. Or we could get a double announcement being "Jabbawockeez" (Show) and "Krampus"(Maze) but highly unlikely. I'm gonna predict it being this Friday August 5th because last year it was announced on August 5th so that it would be the one year anniversary of last year's announcement. Anyway I'm gonna state my opinion on the show coming back. I loved last year's "Jabbawockeez" but the problem was it didn't suit the event. Remember "Bill and Ted" that show had dark humor, entertaining and fun characters, and a story that we can get behind. "Jabbawockeez" is entertaining but it barely has any of that... It doesn't have dark humor, fun characters, and a story at all! This year's show can improve on it (probably not) but it could by adding dark humor, a story, interesting and fun characters, and a overall halloween/horror feel to it, it could really suit the event. But it probably won't happen either way "Krampus" Maze announcement is probably gonna make up for the "Terror Tram" Scarela announcement but I don't know we could get a double announcement this week ("Krampus" and "Jabbawockeez") but it's unlikely.

Set pictures have surfaced for AHS season 6, which basically reveal the theme to be centered around a lost colony from the 1500's known as Roanoke. If they plan to base the maze around season 6 to cross promote, I'd be quite happy as the concept seems pretty interesting and new to the event. http://m.tmz.com/#article/2016/08/01/ahs-season-6-theme-set-photos/

I'm gonna come flat and say it since "The Walking Dead" is dieing and "American Horror Story" is finally coming to the event. It is possible that we see it return next year based on Season 6 just like "The Walking Dead" in the past where in 2014 they did Season 4 whide promoting Season 5 and then do Season 5 in 2015 and promote Season 6. I think this maze will be based on Seasons 1-5 and will promote Season 6 and then do Season 6 in 2017 and promote Season 7 and so on and so forth.

Ideally, I'd love a 1-5 house for atleast this first year. My only concern is that there is a lot of material to try and cram into one house. But if it does come, I have confidence in whatever would be decided on.

What's the point of a virtual reality maze when they could just...build a maze?

HHN should not join in on the VR trend. That would MURDER capacity and cost a lot to buy all of those VRs. Guests will have to make sure those things are working properly and i would be a mess. That won't happen.

Six Flags has done it:

It's not a maze, but it's not outside the realm of possibility for Universal to do something like this, either with or without a horror theme. Knowing how much Universal LOVES motion simulators, it seems right up their alley!

A roller coaster using VR to give it more depth and a haunted attraction using VR are completely different things. Mazes are designed to immerse you with the environments you're supposed to look at and scare you with actors, VR at horror nights would be pointless

There is a limit to how much VR can be done right now as is, what you are trying to propose is insane.

Unlike certain things, Halloween Events like Horror Nights, Scary Farm, and Dark Harbor are supposed to be experienced without the need for some kind of headset and/or viewing device that can change the perception of what the person sees.

Now, there are exceptions to the rule, but most of the time; those exceptions are more for experiences outside of the Mazes that they offer (IE, Legendary Truth from HHN25, Darren Browns Ghost Train [Before anyone tells me I am wrong, it does use actors to some regards], and other experiences that may need the VR/AR usage). Plus, comparing Motion Simulators to Virtual Reality Coasters is like comparing a mountain and a oasis, they don't mix.

I'm not saying it would be a good thing. I think it would be bad idea actually, just as I wish Universal would stop building motion simulators. My point is that it's just the sort of thing Universal would try.

And I would argue there are a lot of similarities between VR coasters and motion simulators. They are both virtual experiences. The main difference is the VR coaster doesn't actually simulate motion. But they are both using computer graphics instead of physical set pieces. It seems to me that a theme park that is already saying "hey, look at all these effects we can create in motion simulators that we can't create in real life" would be very interested in uses for VR headsets.
