Mario movie co-producer Chris Meledandri has suggested that Chris Pratt's performance as the main character won't be using Mario's usual accent, and that his chosen voice is "phenomenal".

Don't like that they moved Puss in Boots to Mario's old date. Tracking for the movie is really good but it's still fairly clear from the trailers that the movie is designed as a smaller February/September release. Think it'll get creamed by Avatar. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Actually I think Puss in Boots testing is off the roof which is part of the reason they moved it from September which typically is a dead month to Christmas in hopes it does a Sing 2....and dominates the family market until April

Agreed. Pre Omicron January really can give a film legs. Opening weekend in seeing PIB before Avatar but I may be in the minority there.
