The new lockers concern me a little bit because they don't look tall enough for the refillable bottles to fit. I hope I'm wrong.

They have 2 sizes of lockers. The larger ones will hold a refillable cup standing up.

Any idea of what the ratio is between the smaller and larger lockers is?

The larger ones will fill up quickly. Guess I need to finish off my freestyle drink before I put it in the locker.

Yea it looks like they're planning for a lot of wallets/cell phone only lockers and only one section of backpack lockers. Guess they forgot to factor in that most guests have refillable sodas and popcorns, plus souvenir bags filled with wands, SLoP's plush, and twenty chocolate frogs. The new locker situation may be entertaining. But still not as entertaining as the FJ clusterfun.

Anyone remember how this compares to the old lockers there?

The old lockers were the same as any of the other lockers on propertly. Maybe stacks of 6 i believe which would make them slightly smaller than the larger lockers. But by estimation it takes the lockers from ~380 old lockers to ~560 new lockers. It will help as I feel most will only need small lockers. If someone usually has a backpack it seems like they are in a large group and there is bound to be someone who won't ride that can hold it.

least favorite part about universal dragon challenge lockers :) they were an absolute cluster over there. Luckily we didn't have to use them for FJ or any other ride. Looks like they are at hulk they will be easier to get to and I get why they are there... Rant - I know how to secure my phone and other objects - over the past 10 years riding diamondback, banshee, the beast, millenium force, magnum xl 200, raptor, drop tower... etc.. never lost a hat, sunglass, phone, keys, fitbit.. etc :)

And I bet everyone else who has items go flying swears they know how to secure things. It only takes one time for a phone to go flying to kill someone walking under the ride.

Did a lot people have trouble with the fingerprint system? I find the ticket rather senseless, because what if you don't have a place to secure your pass, unless perhaps the trains have a little pouch to place your pass in.

So, so, so many people have issues. They forget which finger, send someone else, push their finger so hard on it initially they get a terrible reading, etc.

The biggest problem we had with fingerprint lockers is that they pack way too many people into way too tight of a room, and families kept bringing all 27 of their children in there, then have the youngest one scan their print. Of course, they'd forget which finger they originally scanned, or couldn't reach, etc, etc, etc.

As far as actual use goes, I have notoriously sweaty hands, but the scanners always accepted my print in the first or second try, so the tech seemed pretty robust. I just wish cast members did a better job managing the crowds around the lockers, and insisting that only one member from a party went in there or something to that effect. My wife and I packed light anyway, so I just took our stuff in there while she waited outside. I'm not sure why that concept wasn't more obvious to everyone else.

I don't think I ever had a problem with them but there was always somebody complaining about it.

I've always had issues with the fingerprint scanners at the entries at all the parks. One visit it was my right index, the next my left index, another time it was the right thumb, then the left thumb. Pretty sure those were all the appendages I used. U mad bro?

Lol, so now to problem will be which pass did we scan :)

I never had problems with them, though yes, lockers get crowded because people don't know how to use them, so hopefully this new system will speed things up. Scanning a barcode should (theoretically) go much faster than the finger print system.

Still bothered by having to keep your ticket save.

At least they don't go the seaworld route where you have to generate a pin etc.

Do you still have to pay for lockers at SeaWorld or you do get a free period like Universal?

I think it is $1 now in Seaworld. You go to this touch screen, pay, make a 4 digit code and then a locker number is given. Then you go to said locker, open it with your chosen pin and close it.
