John Campea had an interesting thought on this. Given that there's a hat with the name and Indy font, maybe the name is simply.... Indy?

But why? The titles of the series give them such a fun, charming appeal. Indy sounds like a prequel with a new actor as a 20-something Indiana.

Back to basics maybe? Sort like how The Force Awakens was basically a new era version of A New Hope.

Yeah, count me in for no "Indy" please.

I want back to the basics, "Raiders of the Lost Painting of Paris" or whatever. Raiders!

When I think of Indiana Jones, the title cards give a defining aspect and indication to what the film would be.

Dropping that for "Indy" feels cheap.

They never really left the 'basics' of the series though. I know Crystal Skull gets a lot of flack and is pretty widely panned but it doesn't really stray from the proven formula of the franchise. I actually really enjoy the fourth installment. It's a fun watch that's just not as refined and executed perfectly like the original Raiders and doesn't reach the emotional heights of Last Crusade.

I fully expect, after all these years, that we'll finally not only get an official title tomorrow, but potentially get a teaser trailer at the Marvel/LucasFilm/20th Century panel. With the movie not out until next July though, it's still probably a bit early for a trailer and they'll just show footage to attendees only.

It was also supposed to follow the tone of 1950s B-level sci fi movies, like the first 3 followed the 1930s serial aspects. It wasn't supposed to be a 30s film set in the 1950s. But people wanted more of the same.

I think this was already leaked, but Mangold confirmed that Harrison Ford was de-aged for the opening sequence of the new movie.

I really wish I thought that was a better trailer than I do.

Looks pretty good. First trailers are hard to judge. James Mangold almost always delivers so I have high hopes, John Williams sounds at the top of his game even in his last ever project, and that quick flash of de-aged Ford was crazy in terms of showing how far that technology has come, even compared to recent de-aging of Mark Hamill that we've seen.

What's really tripping me out is that people are going to sit down in a movie theater in two weeks and will see an NEW Indiana Jones trailer in front of a NEW Avatar movie. Wild times.

There's no way that's actual JW score. It sounds like the Raiders March just got trailerized.

It sort of makes me wish that this technology was far enough along when they filmed Solo. No one wanted a Han Solo movie where they recast the titular role, thus it was a box office bomb.

If they had been able to do this though and actually creatively film an entire movie where Harrison Ford looks like he did around the time they filmed A New Hope though? That's something that would've been an attractive box office draw. Instead it just feels like we got a cheap knockoff Solo film.

Don't want to go on a whole thing...but Solo had more against it then just the main actor...besides it coming out when it did the film to me is just fine because of how they wrote Solo....he felt to me like a worst luke.

Now Young Lando....give me more of that..he felt right
