I'd rather they just put a small spinner ride somewhere in the extended JP queue and focus all money on adding more effects to the river adventure and brand new fluid animatronics. That's all I want.

They could place the spinner on the far end where HHN usually houses a maze, and replace DinoPlay with a queue for the attraction. It'd make sense to place some sort of attraction in the Lower Lot for the kids to experience.

Yeah, that's exactly where I envisioned it, and considering that a maze can fit there, a simple DinoSoarin/Pteradon Flyers spinner could fit there. Besides, I think it would be extremely smart. There are no kid attractions down there, and having Dino Play and a new spinner would really help that one parent who has to stay with the kid who isn't tall enough for the other big rides on the lower lot.

Hmmm I just thought of putting the spinner where the current lockers for the ride are...and the current parent switch area is. Maybe I'm wrong but...you could have something unique there.

There's not near enough space where you mentioned it. It would also take a lot more demolition considering the lockers and rider switch rooms are indoors.

If there's any place they can/would put a new spinner, it's in the underused JP extended queue where they normally put a HHN maze.

Here's a mock up of how I'd have it. Note that the new spinner is about the same size or tad smaller than the Super Silly Spinner, which you can also see in the picture.

Space is tight, but not impossible:

Red: path towards spinner & queue

Yellow: exit path

Lime and green: snack/drink & merchandise stand

What is that circular thing that is currently there? It would be a nice ride idea, if the queue isn't that long for such a smaller ride.

Hahahaha!!! That would be the Super Silly Swirly Spinner photoshopped into the empty extended River Adventure queue...hahahaha. As I said, it's just a mock up. There's nothing there now. Look a the top left corner, I basically copy and pasted the Silly Swirly ride into the extended queue down there.

And the queue wouldn't be that long, most of the red is just the path towards the ride area to bypass the River Adventure queue, the squiggly red is the queue for the spinner. As mentioned, I'd also put some covered benches, snack cart and merchandise cart there as well.

I'd make the entrance be through and around the current Dino Play area.

Oh, I would like that too! I mean, with JP, I've been wanting an expansion of the land for years...I honestly thought that the kiddie playground for it was sort of a waste of space, I don't think I've seen too many kids on that one.

Kudos to Universal, though, for placing something for the little ones where there was once just foliage. Too bad they didn't wait further down the road for something slightly bigger and better.

I personally would want the spinner in view of the street.  I would like to see the spinner located where the Studio Store Gift Shop is located or place it in the splash down area/smoking area.

^ Would there be room? I feel like it'd be awfully congested over there! Why I like the spinner where I put it is that you enter it through the Dino Play area, so that kind of becomes the kids area.

I really hate the new designated smoking area in the Lower Lot. The Splash Zone used to be a place to watch the boats zoom down and get drenched, and now you can't even breathe near it. I know there isn't much space, but that placement is terrible.

Couldn't agree with you more. I absolutely hate it, and can't take pics with the Spinosaurus anymore...and makes me wanna gag.

I also wouldn't trust park guests with cigarettes near a ton of foliage. Even if they're surrounded by ash trays, guests enjoy not following rules.

IMO I'd be fine with something other than a spinner. USH has a spinner... no need for two.

^ I agree and disagree with you. I'm not the target audience for spinners/flat rides, but they ARE really needed, and it would greatly benefit the Lower Lot for any kids who can't go on the 3 big rides. Plus, it would fit the space. I can see a "tea cup" style ride going in there as well as cross promotion for Jurassic World, which will have a kiddie ride called "Egg Beater" or something. I'd prefer to see a more modern version of Pteradon Flyers in the lower lot but idk how possible that is.

As with other, people I will second the suggested placement of the ride in view of the splashdown zone. Such a shame they made it a 'designated smoking area' though, now you can't bring kids there, and kids can't enjoy that part.

Another spinner would deeply annoy me. There are plenty of other rides out there that are similar size.

I mean gosh, it doesn't have to be a spinner! Haha. I'm not picky. I just did a mock up with a spinner to do a size comparison. Ideally I'd love to see maybe a Jurassic Park themed Wild Mouse coaster, it could possibly be squeezed in that space. That would be ideal. Or a Pteradon Flyers type of ride, or a tea cup style ride themed to Dino eggs (which is featured in the new Jurassic World film), or any other small flat ride. Bottom line is, I'd love to see a family friendly little ride in that spot.

As for a ride in the splashzone/smoking zone, I feel like a carnival flat ride in that location would kind of be an eyesore and distract from the splashzone, I'd rather see it in the extended queue.

Heck, if they enclosed that extended queue and made it an interactive "Dino Encounter" or "Dino Hatching Encounter" with puppetry or animatronics and "scientists" or make a mini lab guests can explore, that would be fantastic as well!

Once again, Im reminded of the Triceratops encounter from IOA....didn't that get dismantled? Anyway, I could see something like that being really popular here...they already have a character meet and greet with Transformers, so they could do an encounter thing here too.
